The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top.
I cut a 5" x 3-3/4" piece of Pretty Peacock card stock for the layer. On top of that is a 4-3/4" x 3-1/2" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Floral Charm" 12" x 12" package. I cut the left side off at 3/4" and I turned it over and taped it to the left side of the Pretty Peacock piece. I taped the remaining piece in place making sure I butted up the DSP edges. I taped the entire piece to the front of the card. I just eyed centering it.
Next I stamped the words from the "Charming Day" bundle using Pretty Peacock ink on a 3/4" x 3" piece of Basic White card stock. I set it in place on the front of the card using Dimensionals. It's about 5/8" from the bottom edge and the right edge of the card base.
The flower was stamped from the same "Charming Day" bundle and was cut out using the coordinating die. I used a blending brush and tapped on Mossy Meadow ink on the leaves. For the flower I tapped on some Peach Pie first and then some Cajun Craze more towards the center. Dimensionals were added to the leaves and I added a Dimensional to the edge of the word piece. I wanted to make sure that I would be able to get the Dimensional under the flower without it getting on the word piece. I just moved the flower around until it hovered over the Dimensional and I pressed the flower in place.
I had some retired Candy Dots in my stash so I added them to the end of the word piece and the card was done.
This was a fun card to make. It was very quick and easy too.
Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,
Wanda
