Charming Day, Simply Said, Thinking of You Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a Thinking of You card to share with you that I found on Pinterest. I changed it a little. You can see the original card by clicking here. Please read on to see how the card was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4-1/8" x 5-3/8" piece of Mossy Meadow card stock for the layer. Before taping it in place I cut the greenery from the "Charming Day" bundle.

Next I cut a piece of Basic White card stock that measures 3-7/8" x 4".

Using the Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Floral Charm" 12" x 12" package, I cut a piece to measure 3-5/8" x 5".  I cut the DSP again to measure 3-5/8" x 3-1/2".  The remaining piece was turned over and torn at one end, then taped to the bottom of the floral piece of DSP. That was then taped to the Basic White layer and then that was taped to the Mossy Meadow piece.

The words are from the "Simply Said" set and were stamped using black Memento ink on a scrap piece of Basic White card stock. I cut it out using 6th die in the "Countryside Corners" die set (retired) and the Basic Black layer behind it was cut using the 5th die in that set. I taped the two pieces together. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set aside.

The flower was cut next using Petal Pink card stock and the die from the "Charming Day" bundle.

I added a little glue to the bottom 3 leaves of the greenery piece and set it in place on the front of the card. The end of the stem is about 1-1/8" from the bottom edge of the card. The word piece was set in place over the stem, centering it on the front of the card from side to side. It's about 3/4" up from the bottom edge of the card.

A little glue was added to the flower where it would be touching the word piece and it was set in place. And that was it.

I wanted to make this card because of the DSP. I found it a bit busy and didn't know what to do with it. When I saw this card I thought the DSP was perfect!

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's thinking of you card,
Wanda
