The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.
I cut a 5-1/2" x 4-1/4" piece of Secret Sea card stock and textured it using the "Sunflower" 3D embossing folder. After embossing it I cut it to 3-7/8" x 5-1/8".
Next I took my Basic White ink pad and dragged it over the top of the piece. The ink made contact on the raised areas. I used my heat tool to help the ink dry quicker. It is a slow drying ink. Once dry Dimensionals were added to the back. But did Wanda add Dimensionals? No, she added glue and just as she was going to put it on the front of the card she remembered she was doing to use Dimensionals. So what she ended up doing was cutting a piece of Basic White card stock that measured just shy of the 3-7/8" x 5-1/8". UGH! I think it worked out for the best because texturing the card stock made it feel a bit thinner, now it has a thick sturdy feel to it. Happy accident?
Before the Dimensionals went on the back I took a 6" piece of 1/4" Basic White (retired) ribbon and taped the ends to the back. Then the Dimensionals were added and the piece was set in place on the front of the card.
The words are from the "Charming Day" bundle and were stamped using black Memento ink. Secret Sea ink would look pretty too but I had the black sitting in front of me and the lazy part of me didn't want to get up and get the Secret Sea ink pad! I had used a scrap piece of Basic White card stock. Once stamped I cut them out using the largest die from the "Stylish Shapes" set. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place across the ribbon. And the card was done.
This was so quick and easy to make. This is such a pretty folder. I can't wait to try some other techniques using it.
Thank you SO much for taking your time to stop in and seeing today's birthday card,
Wanda
