Painterly Pears, Choose Happy, Friendship Card, Thinking of You Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a card to share with you that I found on Pinterest. I thought it was such a pretty card that I had to make one with what supplies I had. You can see the original card by clicking here. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" piece of Basic White card stock and textured it using the "Forever Plaid" embossing folder. I then trimmed it to 4" x 5-1/4". I glued that to the front of the card base.

The Designer Series Paper (DSP) is from the "Painterly Pears" 12" x 12" package. I cut a strip to measure 5-1/4" x 1". I glued that to the left side of the card covering the textured piece.

The pears are from the same package of DSP and were fussy cut. I didn't buy the dies for the paper, I just wanted the paper so I have to fussy cut. But that's okay, it doesn't take that long with these images. I cut the large pear and the stem with leaves, the double pears with leaves and I cut around the pink flower cluster.

The "hello" is from the "Choose Happy" set and was stamped using black Memento ink on a scrap piece of Basic White card stock. I just took my scissors and cut around the word. It ended up measuring 1/2" x 7/8".

To assemble the card I took a piece of black ribbon that I had in my stash and cut to measure 7". I folded it in half to form the loop at the top. Then I stapled it in the center to hold it in place. I trimmed the ends and then added some glue dots to the back. In between the glue does I added some glue to make sure it will stay!

The large pear was added using Dimensionals and the stem was added with Dimensionals on the leaves and a little bit of glue on the bottom of the stem. I set it in place on top of the pear.

The little pink flowers were added next. I Dimensional was added to the lower flower and glue to the right edges of the other two flowers.

Then the pair of pears was added. Again, glue was added where the left pear sits on top of the large pear and a Dimensional on the right pear and small Dimensional between the stems of the pears. It's in the white area of those stems.

The "hello" was added next using 2 small Dimensionals.

I didn't have any Mossy Meadow embellishments so I colored a couple of white Candy Dots (retired) using my dark  Mossy Meadow Blends pen. I set them in place on the front of the card and the card was done.

I do like how this card turned out. I had most of the supplies and what I substituted worked just fine. I could see myself making another one like this sometime in the near future.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's friendship, thinking of you card,
Wanda
