Beautiful Friendship, Good Morning Magnolia, Thinking of You Card

Both of the sets "Beautiful Friendship" and "Good Morning Magnolia" that I used to make this card are retiring soon.  I LOVE the "Thinking of You" font in the "Good Morning Magnolia". I've used it on a lot of cards. I may hang onto it for a while but like most of the sets I have, I'm going to have to let them go sometime! I found this card on the internet. I don't even know how I got there but I'm glad I did. You can see that card here.  There is a video for you to follow along. I fast forwarded it some but didn't I did mine a little different.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Mossy Meadow card stock. I taped a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White on the inside.

On the outside I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Blushing Bride card stock and taped it to the front of the card.

The Basic White is cut 3-7/8" x 5-1/8".  I stamped the flowers from the "Beautiful Friendship" set using Blushing Bride ink. I stamped the flower five times on the card stock. The video showed to stamp two more flowers on some scrap Basic White card stock, so I did that. Then the leaves were stamped using Pear Pizzazz ink. And two more were stamped on scrap Basic White card stock.

The two flowers and two sets of leaves were fussy cut out. They weren't bad to fussy cut so I didn't whine, not once!  LOL

I didn't have the Designer Series Paper (DSP) that was used on the original card but I did have some wood look so I used that. I cut that piece 3/4" x 5-1/8" and taped it to the right edge of the Basic White piece.  Some of my leaves and flowers got covered but that's okay, it looks more natural when that happens.

I stamped the words from the "Good Morning Magnolia" set using black Memento ink. Then I punched them out using the "Timeless" label punch. I added Dimensionals to the back of it and to the two flowers. Now on the original card there's a couple of layers of card stock on the inside of the card. A strip of DSP and a flower and leaves. I don't usually decorate the inside of my cards and I didn't look ahead on the video so I ended up with an extra flower and leaves cut and there was no way I was not going to use them on my card. After all, I did fussy cut them without whining! LOL  So I set the word piece in place. I let it overlap the 3/4" DSP strip a bit too. Then I set the bottom flower in place and tucked the leaf under it. I did add a bit of tape to that leaf before I tucked it under the flower. I also made sure the flower and leaves were on top of the word piece a bit. The other flower was set in place tucked under the word piece just a bit. And the other leaves piece was slipped under the word piece. And then I pressed down on the pieces. I don't press down until I'm sure everything is where I'd like it to be.

I colored some crystal rhinestones using my dark Mossy Meadow Blends pen and I set them in place on the front of the card and the card was one.

This was a fun card to make and it was easy to follow along on the video too. The lady has an English accent and I LOVE it!

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to see today's "Thinking of You" card,"
