All Things Fabulous, Sweet Ice Cream, Birthday Card, 2021 Stampin' Up! Spring Catalog

I saw this pretty card on Pinterest and I just happen to have my "All Things Fabulous" set still sitting out. (Like I ever put things back right away! LOL).  You can see the original card here

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Daffodil Delight. This card opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top.

I cut two 4" x 5-1/4" pieces of Basic White card stock. One for the front and one for the inside.

I cut a 2" x 5-1/4" piece of Designer Series Paper from the 6" x 6" Brights Collection.  I saw in the new catalog that the designs on the stacks are changed again. I'm glad because these were difficult to work with. I hadn't even opened the Brights back yet. And when I do all I use is 2" off one sheet.  LOL  Oh well.

I set the DSP on top of the Basic White piece. I didn't tape it down, I just set it on it for word placement. I wanted to make this into a birthday card and I wanted to find a "happy birthday" that was on one line. I didn't have very many current sets with it on one line. But I did find this one in the "Sweet Ice Cream" set. I LOVE how large the letters are too.  I stamped them using Mossy Meadow ink and I set the piece aside.

I took some scrap Basic White card stock and I stamped the large and small flower using Daffodil Delight ink. I stamped the center of the flowers using the detail image and Mango Melody ink.

The leaves were stamped using Mossy Meadow ink and the lighter ones were just Mossy Meadow stamped off once. I die cut the leaves and flowers at the same time. I also die cut the lacy piece using a scrap piece of Basic White card stock. This lacy piece has four areas on it in the middle that are perfect for setting a glue dot on.

I taped the Basic White piece to the front of the card and then the DSP.  I added the lacy piece using glue dots.

I had also die cut two leaves from Mango Melody card stock for behind the top leaves to add contrast. I taped the lighter leaves to these Mango Melody pieces. The top leaves were taped in place and then the larger flower was set in place using Dimensionals. I tucked the dark leaf under it just before I pressed down on the flower. I had also added tape to the back of that leaf to make sure it would stick if a Dimensional didn't make contact with it.  Best to be safe than sorry. The smaller flower had Dimensionals on the left side and tape on the right and it was set in place over the left side of the edge of the larger flower.

The other piece of Basic White card stock was taped to the inside and the card was done.

This card just has a happy feeling to it. I would love to make another one as a thinking of you card or a Mother's Day card. I do need to make a Mother's Day card soon! But I'll probably wait until the last minute.  Anyway, I think the next time I stamp and die cut flowers from the "All Things Fabulous" set I'm going to do a few extra and make another card like this in a different color, or the color I'm using that day!

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop by and see this cheery card,
Wanda
