Art Gallery, Birthday Card, 2021 Stampin' Up! Spring Catalog

I got my Stampin' Up! order today and I couldn't wait to play with the new stuff.  I found a pretty card on Pinterest that used the new "Art Gallery" and I found this one. There was no link to any blog for instructions so here is how I made it.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Melon Mambo.

A 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic Black card stock was taped to the front of the card.

The 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of Whisper White piece was textured using the "Subtle" embossing folder. This folder makes the card stock look like linen.  I taped that to the Basic Black piece.

To make the flowers I stamped them on Whisper White card stock. I used Melon Mambo ink and stamped off once for the main part of the large flower and then I stamped with full ink on the second part of the flower. This flower has two pieces.  Then for the smaller flower I just stamped I inked it up and stamped it and then stamped it again with out inking it up again so I had a light one and a dark one.

The stem/leaves were stamped using Old Olive ink. I stamped them the same way as the smaller flower. I inked up the image, stamped it once and then stamped another one without inking the image again.

Now here's the great part with this set, it came in a bundle and that means that it has matching dies to it so I didn't have to do any fussy cutting.  I die cut all the pieces.

The words are from the same set and were stamped using black Memento ink. I die cut them with the rectangle image in the dies.

To assemble, I taped the dark stem down first. Then the large flower was added using Dimensionals.

The dark small flower was taped to the front of the card. I took the light flower and the light stem/leaves and I taped them together.  I added Dimensionals to the pieces and I set them in place on the card.

I added Dimensionals to the word piece and set it in place below the stems.

A linen bow was made and added using glue. I used three strands of linen to make the pretty bow. I usually have trouble tying bows but this time I just made a loop with my right hand and one with my left and then tied the two together. I usually make a loop and wrap the other end around the loop and pull it through. This two loops was interesting but it turned out a lot more evenly than how I'd been doing it since I learned to tie shoes. (and that was MANY years ago LOL).

I thought the card could use a little sparkle so I added some Wink of Stella to the flowers.

Once the glue was set I added a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock to the inside and the card was done.

This was a very easy and pretty card to make and I do like how it turned out.

Thank you SO much for taking the time today to stop by and have a look,
Wanda
