Stuck on a Sketch

I'm just loving this layout that was the weekly Sketch Challenge at SplitCoastStampers. I have found our Christmas card for this year! There's no buttons, brads or eyelets on it to I won't have to pay the extra 17 cents per card. 17 cents is not a big deal but when you send out as many cards as I do it is! I LOVE snowmen and this card is right up my alley. I've loved this set since it first came out in a mini catalog. I was delighted to see it in the 2006-2007 catalog and it was not on the retired list so I have some more time to play with it!! I had made mint goodie bags with this set. Click on the link and have a look. They were a fun little give away and fun for Christmas parties too. Anyway, back to this card. The main card is Basic Black, then a white layer (sponged) was added and then the other layers according to the sketch were added. I did use the Stamp-A-Ma-Jig to put the snowman together. I wanted everything to fit within that square and that was the best way to do it. I had my Stamp-A-Ma-Jig for almost a year before I ever used it. Relying on my good eye to line things up! LOL Sue showed me how to use it (THANK YOU SUE!!!) and now I use it a lot.

There's no time like the present to start working on your Christmas cards!!!

Thanks for stopping by!
Wanda

This is a very cute card! I too love snowmen. Very interesting using black as the card base; different for Christmas I think.

Love your blog! Looking forward to all your new ideas and posts! :)
