Lovely & Beautiful, Greenery Lane, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a birthday card to share with you that I found on Pinterest. I changed a few things on it though. It was fun to actually use the speciality side of the Designer Series Paper (DSP) than the other side, which I had used a lot! You can see the original card by clicking here.  Please read on to see how the card was made.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left. I cut a 4' x 5-1/4' piece of DSP from the "Lovely & Beautiful" 12" x 12" page. It measure 4" x 5-1/4".  I taped it to the card base.  On the other side of the green is a busy piece with gold foil. I was glad to use the green, I liked it better.

The floral image is from the same package of DSP and was cut at 3" x 4-1/4".  This is a very pretty sheet and I hadn't touched either one (you get 2 in a package). I was too busy using the other sides for other cards. I love the huge flower and the soft colors.  I taped this to a piece of gold foil card stock (I didn't have any brushed gold). This piece of gold measures 3-1/8" x 4-3/8".  Dimensionals were added to the back and the piece was set in place on the front of the card using equal spacing all around.

The words were done on my computer. I just like how it looked and thought I'd print it out and die cut them. The die is from the "Stylish Shapes" set. I also cut a gold foil piece. On the gold piece, I cut it in half and then taped the word piece to each half, leaving a little exposed on each end. A sweet touch.

The leaves are from the "Greenery Lane" bundle and were cut using the gold foil card stock. I added a little dot of glue on all of the solid leaves and set it in place on the front of the card.

I set the word piece in place using Dimensionals. And for a final touch I added a brass butterfly to the upper corner of the DPS.

This was a fun card to make. It was quick and easy too. I love the colors and it was fun to play with the foil card stock (I have a ton of that left too!)

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,
Wanda
