Wooly Friends, Lovely & Beautiful, Impressions Abloom, Friendship Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a fun card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

As you can see it's another card using the sheep from the "Woolly Friends" set. And you guessed it, I did not put it away yesterday so it was right there in front of me when I came back to my worktable. Well, I had to use it! And here's what I came up with.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Lovely & Beautiful" 12" x 12" package.  I taped it to the front of the card.

The two strips of DSP are from the same package and they measure 1-4-3/4" and 2" x 5".  I taped the shorter one down first. It's about 3/8" from the fold and the other piece is about 3/4" from the fold.

The oval is from the "Impressions Abloom" bundle and was cut from a piece of Basic White card stock. I used a blending brush to color the grass in Old Olive ink and the sky in Balmy Blue ink.

I stamped the grass next from the "Woolly Friends" set using Old Olive ink. I also stamped the flowers in Old Olive too. There's a stamp for the flower centers and I stamped them using Fresh Freesia ink. The leaves on the flowers were stamped using Old Olive ink.

I stamped the bee and colored it's wings using Balmy Blue ink.

Then I stamped the sheep parts, the head, body and bow tie.

I used my light Smoky Slate Blends pen for the sheep's legs and wool. I added light Bubble Bath for the ears and nose. The bows were colored in using light Fresh Freesia and the other was colored in using Light Daffodil Delight

The words are from the same "Woolly Friends" set and were stamped using black Memento ink.

Dimensionals were added to the back of the sheep. I set them in place on the front of the card. Then I added the heads and bows.

Dimensionals were added to the back of the oval and it was set in place on the front of the card about 3/16" from the bottom of the card and equal spacing on the sides.  And the card was done.

This was a fun card to make and I REALLY like the words from this set. It's too bad there wasn't a sunshine image in the set.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's friendship card,
Wanda
