Cute as a Bug, Sweet Bugs, Fragrant Layers, Friendship Cards, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a friendship card to share with you using the layout I played with yesterday but today I turned it on it's side, sort of. LOL. Please read on to see how the card was made.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Poppy Parade card stock. In the center of that piece of card stock I cut a circle using the second largest die in the "Stylish Shapes" set. After cutting the circle, I taped the piece to the front of the card base.

A 3-1/2" x 3-1/2" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Cute as a Bug" 12" x 12" package and I taped it to a 3-3/4" x 3-3/4" piece of Basic White card stock. Then I taped that to the front of the card on the left.

On the right the Basic White strip was cut at 1" x 3-3/4". It's textured using the "Damask Designs" embossing folder. There was a piece of textured card stock in my stash and I just trimmed it to fit my card. I glued this piece to the right side.

The cute bee is from the same package of DSP and I cut it out using the third largest die in the "Stylish Shapes" set.  Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the front of the card.

The words are from the "Fragrant Layers" bundle and were stamped using Poppy Parade ink. I cut them out using the second smallest die in the "Stylish Shapes" set. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the front of the card.

I die cut a little flower from the same package of DSP. Actually I had to cut it out, it was a piece that was just sitting there from when I cut other pieces off the sheet. I just couldn't toss out the flower. The die is from the "Sweet Bugs" bundle.  I used a small Dimensional on the back of the flower and I set it on the upper part of the circle.

I added a ladybug from the "Ladybug Garden" epoxy shapes package.  And that was it.

This is a super quick and easy card to make. Not a lot of stamping and a great use of DSP!

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's friendship card,
Wanda
