Cutest Crew, Simply Said, Friendship Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a fun and easy card to share with you. I found this card on Pinterest and I just had to give it a try with the materials I have. You can see the original card by clicking here. Please read on to see how the card was made.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

The first thing I did after getting the base of my card ready, I took a quarter sheet of Basic White card stock and colored it with ink. Using water, ink and a paint brush I made a wash over the entire piece. I used Balmy Blue inker, then Misty Moonlight inker and then Night of Navy inker. I set this aside to dry.

I cut a 5" x -3-3/4" piece of Basic White card stock that I splattered Misty Moonlight and Balmy Blue ink on it from my Blends Pens. I just removed the cover off the pen and then tapped it hard against another pen (don't use another Blends pen to do that). The pen splattered ink all over the piece. I set it aside.

The birds from the "Cutest Crew" bundle were stamped using black Memento ink on Basic White card stock. I cut them out with the matching die. The center bird was colored using Misty Moonlight light and dark Blends pen. The other two birds were colored with the light and dark Balmy Blue Blends pen. The grass was colored using the dark Soft Sea Foam Blends pen and the beaks were colored using the light Soft Sea Foam Blends pen.

I die cut the little butterflies at the same time as I cut the birds out. I colored them with my Wink of Stella pen and set them aside.

My washed paper was not quite dry so I used my embossing heat tool to help it dry faster.  I cut the third largest circle die from the "Stylish Shapes" set.  I took a chalk pen I had and splattered on some white dots. I thought it could use something more.

The circle was taped to the splattered Basic White piece about 1/4" from the right side and the bottom edge. Then I taped the birds in place. I taped them over the circle just to the point to where you can't see the circle between the 2nd and 3rd bird.

I stamped the "hello" from the "Simply Said" set and cut them out with the second smallest circle in the "Stylish Shapes" set. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the front of the card.

Dimensionals were added to the back of the large splattered piece and it was set in place on the front of the card base.

The butterflies were adde using a little dot of glue and the card was done.

This was such a fun card to make. I LOVE this set, it's so fun to play with because these characters are the cutest!

Thank you SO very much for stopping by to see today's friendship card,
Wanda
