Delicate Whispers, Get Well Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a get well card to share with you. I found it on Pinterest. You can see the original card by clicking here. I clicked on the "Visit site" icon and the page that popped up said the link was expired.  So this is how I made the card using what materials I have.  I used the "Delicate Whispers" bundle which I had just gotten yesterday from my sister. We met up for pedies and she gave me the bundle. I couldn't wait to play with it. Please read on to see how I put this card together. There's lots of steps to it. I did look up the stampers name and found a video but it wasn't for this exact card but I took what I wanted from it to make my card.

First I cut a sheet of Basic White card stock in half and then folded that in half for my card base. It opens on the right and the fold is on the bottom.  I cut a 4"x 5-1/4" piece of Pretty in Pink card stock for the largest layer.  Using the 4th and 5th largest die in the "Everyday Arches" set I cut from the center of the Pretty in Pink layer to get my arched frame.

I cut a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of Basic White card stock and using the 5th die again, I cut the arch for stamping on. This piece will fit into the Pretty in Pink frame piece.  What I forgot to do was to tap on some Pretty in Pink splatters on the white arched piece.  Oops, it was hard to see, plus there could be a little bit of Gray Granite splatters too, it's hard to tell. But it's not hard to tell on my card because neither are on there!

On the 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of Basic White card stock I textured it using the "Beautiful Pattern" embossing folder. Then I took a sponge dauber and lightly brushed on some Pretty in Pink ink.

I stamped the arched flowers on the Basic White arched piece using Gray Granite. I colored in the greenery using my Crumb Cake Blends. And Petty in Pink for the flowers that were stamped from that image.

One of the things I did take from that video was to take some Pretty in Pink ink and wet a brush and brush it across a scrap piece of white card stock to die cut the flowers later. This piece was set aside to dry while I worked on the rest of the card.

There is an arched leaf die in the bundle that I cut out of Gray Granite card stock. I rolled up glue dots and set them on the widest places, it was mostly one on each end and a couple in the middle.

I cut the flowers using the dies in the same "Delicate Whispers" bundle. I used my scrap piece that was dry by now. I cut two sets of flowers. So I had a total 8 pieces. I stacked up the large ones in my hand and curled up the edges by pressing them with my fingers. I did the same with the smaller ones. Using glue dots I affixed 3 sets together and left two flowers as is. I set them in place on the front of the card, covering the stamped flowers I colored. I added little pearls to the center of the flowers.

Using scraps from the Pretty in Pink card stock I cut the smallest arched die. Then I stamped it using the image from the "Delicate Whispers" bundle and Versa Mark ink. I sprinkled on some white embossing powder and heat set it. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set aside.

I taped the large Pretty in Pink layer in place. Then the embossed piece on top of that. The white arched piece fit in place and then the frame was glued in place.

I removed the backing from the word piece and set that in place. I added a little brass butterfly to the little piece.

I tied a bow from some retired ribbon in my stash. I set it in place with a glue dot and the card was done.

This card had a lot of stuff going on, lots of things to do to make it but it was SO worth it. I do like how it turned out.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's get well card,
Wanda
