A Home for Christmas and Petite Pairs Christmas Card using the Corner Flip Technique

Today I'm going to share a card I made using the Corner Flip Technique.  You can find that technique here.  This is the card I will be using for the next Technique Night Card Swap. I took a few days off and headed to the North Shore and on the drive I was able to assemble my cards. I even cut out the reindeers, asking hubby to let me know when there was rough road ahead!  I didn't want to cut off a leg or two.  And I didn't.  It was smooth sailing.

I had pre-cut my cards because I didn't want to bring my paper cutter with me.  I haul enough stuff!!  I added the decorative paper. It's from the "Merry Moments" 6" x 6" paper stack. Scored the fold so the flip part would lay nice.  I added the Glue Dot to the bottom right corner of the flip part.  I added the Mossy Meadow square and then I took a break.  After the break I began cutting out the reindeer. And that was it for the ride up.

On the ride home I taped the two circles together.  The blue dotted paper is from the "Home for Christmas" paper pack. It's the same pack the reindeer is from. There's several different poses of reindeers, so not all of my cards will be identical.  It just made sense to cut from one area of the paper.  I'm sure I'll be using it more so I wanted to conserve it. After all, there's still a lot of time between now and Christmas.

I used tape on the thicker parts of the reindeerand on the legs, tail and ears I used the glue pen.  After I was done putting the reindeer on the circle, I used Dimensionals and set the circle pin place on the Mossy Meadow square.

The words are from the "Petite Pairs" set.  They are stamped using Mossy Meadow ink.  They were punched out using the oval punch.  An scalloped edge oval was punched out and the words were taped in place.  The words were then set in place using Dimensionals.  I added a trimmed piece of Whisper White card stock to the Cherry Cobbler on the inside so the flipped corner part would show up better. Plus I like something lighter to write on!

And that was it.  It's SO festive looking!  And now I'm ready for my swap in 10 days!  I love it when I don't have to rush to get my cards done.  Then I can make ones that have more parts or details.

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
