Love is "Priceless"

I was looking through my stamps to find a heart I liked and I ran across one in the Stampin' Up! "Priceless" set. I stamped it on white card stock and cut it out. I'm not a big fan of cutting but after all it was only one heart. I punched a 1-3/4" black circle and taped it on top of a red punched scallop piece.

I used my Cuddlebug folder and dry embossed the white background piece. I taped that on top of a piece of black cards stock and then added the ribbon around it. I taped that to the red card base and then tied a bow on the ribbon. I taped the scallop piece to the card and it was done. A pretty quick card. I set it down and looked at it and realized I didn't like the red ribbon. SO I thought about it and felt maybe black ribbon would be better. I made another card and added the black ribbon instead. I think I like the black better. Which one do you prefer and why?

Thank you for stopping by,
Wanda

I like the red one best, even though they both are pretty. Red is my favorite color and also, I think the red is more vibrant and makes the card "pop". Thanks for another outstanding idea.

Oooooooo - red, black, and white - my favorite combo! Both of these cards are great, but I like the black ribbon more, because the red scallop circle stands out against it instead of blending into it. I just bought a 'Bug and can't wait to use it. This card is definitely getting added to my 'Bug Ideas' list! - Susan :-)

Those are just wonderful! I never think to use a heart larger than the circle! Great idea!

I think the red is cute, the black is elegant. I like both of them!
Love the way you used the white pen for the dots around the heart :)

I can't decide which one I like better. The black ribbon makes the red scallop stand out more but other than that I like them both. I do love the polka-dot ribbon though - black or red.

Hello! actually I like the red best, but both look cute!

I think I prefer the black ribbon, too, but it's hard to pinpoint why. Maybe it just looks a bit more sophisticated compared to the flashier red ribbon.

Both are nice, but I definitely prefer the one with black ribbon as it allows the red heart to pop out more, drawing your attention to the heart and not all the red.

Both great cards, but I prefer the black ribbon, the red just "pops" too much and takes away from the focal point. Wonder if you used sheer red/white polka dot ribbon if that would tone down the redness of the solid ribbon?

I like the one with the black ribbon as it makes the scallop circle stand out more even though I love red.

simple elegance on these cards:)I like the red ribbon better, perhaps because it's brighter?! I don't really know why, I just know the red catches my eye a wee bit more than the black. Both cards are awesome! TFS!

I really do love them both, but I think I like the one with the black ribbon has a bit more contrast, and I like that. I am so going to use this idea for some cards coming up! Love how simple and elegant they are!
