The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Early Espresso card stock. It opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top.
I cut two pieces of Basic Beige card stock that measure 4" x 5-1/4" each. I taped one to the inside and the other I textured using the "Softly Woven" embossing folder. I glued it to the front of the card.
Next I cut a piece of Designer Series Paper (DPS) from the "Glow of Harvest" 12" x 12" package. It measures 2-1/2" x 4". I taped it to a 2-3/4" x 4-1/4" piece of Early Espresso card stock. I added Dimensionals to the back and I set this piece aside.
The words were stamped next. They are from the "Scalloped Blooms" bundle and were stamped using Early Espresso ink on Basic Beige card stock. I cut them out using a die from the "Sweet Words" bundle.
I cut an Early Espresso layer from the same "Sweet Words" bundle. I taped the two layers together. I set this aside.
I do not remember what set the leaf was die cut from. I had made it a while ago and it was setting on my worktable. If you know what set it's from, please leave a message in the comment and I'll edit my post to include it. I had cut it from a scrap piece of Basic Beige and sponged on some Daffodil Delight. Then I sponged the edges using Early Espresso ink. And for the middle, I tapped on some Pumpkin Pie ink. It was fun to make the leaf but I don't remember what I was going to use it for. Anyway, I glued the leaf in place under the words. The space below it was open and it needed something.
I cut a 4" x 3/4" piece of Early Espresso card stock and taped it to the front of the card about 1-1/2" from the top edge of the card base.
The DSP layer was added next, it's about 1/2" from the fold and right side.
Dimensionals were added to the word piece where it would touch the textured piece and tape to the part that touches the DSP. Once that was in place, the card was done.
This was a fun card to make. I like the layout and it was quick and easy to make.
Thank you SO much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Birthday card,
Wanda
