Frightfully Fun, Oh My Fright, Halloween Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I'm going to share with you two Halloween cards. I might make a couple more Halloween cards this week and then I'm going to move onto some fall cards. I have plenty of Halloween cards and I'm kind of getting burnt out on making them. PLUS, I want to make fall and Christmas cards! Please read on to see how I made today's card.

The bases of both cards is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. The top large layer is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and was textured using the "Swirls of Magic" embossing folder. I was able to texture both pieces at the same time. That embossing folder is very long.  I glued the textured piece to the front of the card.

Next I cut the Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Frightfully Fun" 12" x 12" package of Designer Series Paper (DSP). They measure 3-1/4" x 3-1/4". The layer behind the DSP is Basic Black and measures 3-1/2" x 3-1/2". I taped the two layers together and added Dimensionals to the back. I set the piece in place on the front of the card with equal spacing on the top and each side.

Earlier this month I had stamped the words that were used on both cards and had extras.  The words are from the "Oh My Fright" bundle. I had die cut the Pumpkin Pie colored one using a die from the "Banner Sayings" set and the other was just cut on the paper cutter. It measures 2-1/8" x 1-1/4" and is on Basic White card stock. I set both word pieces in place using Dimensionals.

On the cat image I added some dots from the "Bats, Ghosts & Dots" embellishments package. I chose the cat image because I found it to be very challenging and it was the perfect way to use it!

And on the ghost DSP card, I added some bats from the same package of embellishments. And that was it!

These were very quick and easy cards to make. I'm still doing the quick and easy due to my finger injury. It's getting SO much better. A few more days and I should be able to leave the bandage off (hopefully).  I did find an interesting layout and I think I'm going to give it a try for tomorrow. It's got more pieces and not quite as quick. I hope it turns out because I haven't been able to find any instructions or measurements on this layout!  Now I know you're excited to come back tomorrow to see what!

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Halloween cards,
Wanda
