Spooktacular, Halloween Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a Halloween card to share with you that I found on Pinterest. You can see the original card by clicking here. I just like this simple layout and being it used some Halloween Designer Series Paper (DSP) I wanted to try it out even more. Please read on to see how the card was made.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Pumpkin Pie card stock. A 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock was taped to the inside. I'm still up in the air if I want to stamp "Happy Halloween" on the inside. I probably will.

On the front, a strip of DSP from the "Spooktacular" 6" x 6" package was cut at 1-3/4" x 5-1/2".  I taped it to the center of the card.

The pumpkin face is from the same package of DSP and it measures 3" x 3". I cut a piece of Granny Apple Green card stock at 3-1/8" x 3-1/8". I taped the two pieces together.

A 3-1/2" x 3-1/2" piece of Basic Black card stock and the Granny Apple Green layers were taped on top. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the center of the card.

The embellishments are from the "Bats, Ghosts & Dots" package. I used a couple black dots and a ghost from that package and the card was done.

With the first craft fair done, I feel like I have some time to breathe again (till the next one). I have five weeks until the next one. It's my largest one and then one in December. I've never done that one before so I'm not sure what I'm getting into. I signed on hoping to just deplete a lot of inventory at the end of the crafting season.

Update on the finger. It still hurts and it's still being kept from bending, bending is not a good thing yet. Hopefully it will start to feel better soon.  So in the meantime I will be making simple cards. Even typing is a bit of a struggle.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Halloween card,
Wanda
