The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic Black card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.
I cut two pieces of Basic White card stock that measure 4" x 5-1/4". I taped one to the inside and the other I covered with ink!
I took a scrap piece of copier paper and cut it to 4" x 5-1/4". I punched a 1-1/2" hole on the upper left area of it. I laid the copier paper over the Basic White piece and colored it using Daffodil Delight ink. I kept the circle that was punched out, removable tape was added to the back and I set it in place over the Daffodil Delight moon I created.
Then I used Crushed Curry ink to go around the moon. After that I used Cajun Craze to go a bit further outside the moon. Towards the bottom area I couldn't make circles so I made elongated "U" shaped swipes to get the color down on the card stock.
For the final color I used Blackberry Bliss on the outer edges to give it that glow and to draw your eyes towards the moon.
The tree is from the "Oh My Fright" bundle and was cut using Basic Black card stock that I had added a double sided sticky sheet behind it. Once cut I laid it on top of the inked piece to see where the words would look best.
The words are from the same bundle and were stamped using Blackberry Bliss. I considered about using Basic Black ink but I thought it would look too dark and would take away from that glow I was creating. I was glad I didn't use the black, this looked perfect on there. Not too dark but dark enough to read.
The tree was then set in place.
I die cut a set of bats from the same bundle and set them in place on the card. I took a Real Red marker and colored in the eyes. I taped the piece to the front of the card base and the card was done.
I love the colors on here. This was a very quick and easy card to make. I got the glow I was looking for and I think it turned out well.
Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Halloween card,
Wanda
