Lily of the Valley, Thank You Card, Friendship Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a thank you/friendship card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Garden Green card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut two pieces of Basic White card stock measuring 4" x 5-1/4" each. I taped one to the inside and the other will be taped to the front.

I cut three strips of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Valley in Bloom" 12" x 12" package. The strips measure 3/4" x 5".  I taped them in place on the left side of the Basic White piece.

I cut two leaves from the "Lily of the Valley" bundle using Granny Apple Green card stock and I cut two sets of the lilies using Basic Beige card stock. I trimmed the ends of the flowers so the didn't stick out past the bottom of the leaves. I taped the leaves and flowers in place over the DSP.

The words are from the bundle. I thought it was such a sweet sentiment and I love the fonts used. I stamped the words using Garden Green ink.

The piece was then taped to the front of the card.

I thought the upper right looked a bit too open so I added a brass butterfly that I had in my stash. I still have a few left and I do plan on using them up. I need to cut down my stash of embellishments and DSP. I will run out of elements long before I run out of DSP! LOL

This was a pretty quick, easy and simple card to make. This is an interesting set to play with. I did not purchase this set, I played with one a friend had. It's fun to get together with friends. We all have different tastes and we share our sets we bought so we can have even more fun without spending a fortune. I like to try out a set before I decide I can get a lot of use out of it to justify buying it. Stamping days with friends is the best!

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's thank you/friendship card,
Wanda
