Artistically Inked, Artistic Dies, Friendship Card, 2021-2022 Stampin' Up! Catalog

I think what drew me to this card was the Designer Series Paper (DSP). I love that soft green. You can see the original card here

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. A 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Granny Apple Green card stock was cut for the layer. Don't tape it on yet, you can cut the word layer from the middle of that piece.

The Basic White layer was cut at 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" and was textured using the "Tasteful Textile" embossing folder.

There is also another Basic White layer, it's under the DSP. It measures 2-5/8" x 3-7/8".

The DSP is from the "Expressions in Ink" 12" x 12" package. It was cut 2-1/2" x 3-3/4" and taped to the Basic White layer.

The long white leaf was die cut using the "Artistic Dies". I didn't use the sticky sheets on the card stock.  I also cut two leaves out of gold foil.

The words are from the "Artistically Inked" set and were stamped on a scrap piece of Basic White and die cut using the smallest circle die. The layer behind the words was cut using the smallest scalloped circle die. The two circles were taped together and Dimensionals were added to the back.

I taped the Granny Apple Green piece to the card base. Then the embossed piece was taped on. Next was the DSP layers.  Everything was taped flat, no Dimensionals.

The long white leaves were added using some Tombow glue. The gold leaves were left over from a different card and they were sticky backed, so I stuck them in place.

The words were set on top of the leaf stems and the card was done. I did have to trim off the stems of my leaves because they stuck out beyond my circles.

I really like the looks of this card. I also like the layout. I'm going to have to try this with other DSP and maybe other DPS and different dies. Lots of possibilities here.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to see today's friendship card,
Wanda

Wanda, this is a very pretty card with all the layers and textures. Sadly, I have needed several sympathy cards and I think this design would make some nice ones. Thanks for the inspiration. Enjoy your day!
