A Serene Silhouettes Thank You

My card today was inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest.  It as made by Kristin at Sunshine, Smiles & Stamps + Lovin’ & Life.  I liked the layout and the Always Artichoke color of her card so I ran with that.  It was the color and the layout that really caught my eye on this card.  So I made mine using the new fan background dry embossing folder. I stamped some tiny butterflies from the A Fitting Occasion.  The words are from the Petite Pairs set and the image is from the Serene Silhouettes set.  I colored in the image using markers.  I huffed on the stamp and then stamped it on Whisper White card stock.  I didn’t have any current ribbon so I used some grosgrain that I had on hand.  It was a very quick and easy card to make.  I just love this layout.  It sure did make such a pretty card too!

As I look at it in real life and on the screen I keep thinking to myself that I am going to be using this layout a bit more before I set it aside and forget about it for years!!!  It's a perfect card for some of those smaller images too.  Though the Serene Silhouettes image wasn't all that small I did chop off the bottom part of it.  But it was just weeds and ground!  They didn't need to be in this oval anyway!

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda

Hi Wanda! Thanks so much for the shout out and link to my blog! I really like what you did with the layout. That embossing folder is perfect. May need to make another one myself!
