The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top.
I cut a 3" x 5-1/4"piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Lovely & Beautiful" 12" x 12" package. I taped it to a 3-1/8" x 5-3/8" piece of Old Olive card stock and that was taped to the front of the card.
A gold foil hexagon piece was punched for the flower.
The flower is from the "Impressions Abloom" bundle and was cut from a piece of Basic White card stock. I sponged on some Petal Pink ink and then a little Calypso Coral ink.
I used the flower center image on Petal Pink card stock using Petal Pink ink. I scrubbed on a little Calypso Coral ink and then I fussy cut it out. I glued it to the center of the flower.
Two leaves were die cut using Old Olive card stock.
Dimensionals were added to the back of the flower and it was set in place on the gold foil piece. Dimensionals were added to the back of the foiled piece and it was set aside.
The words are from the "Fabulous Sayings" set and were stamped using Calypso Coral ink.
The foiled piece was set in place just above the "y" in happy.
A brass butterfly was added to the front and the card was done.
This was such a super easy and quick card to make.
I placed my Stampin' Up! order from the new catalog today and now comes the waiting game. LOL
Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,
Wanda
