Garden Gatherings, Sweet Words & Labels, Bloom Boutique, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I thought I'd share a card I made using the "Garden Gatherings" bundle. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Bloom Boutique" 12" x 12" package. I taped it to the card base.

Next I cut the pieces for the three layers. The top DSP layer was cut at 2-1/8" x 4". It's from the same package of DSP. The Crisp Cantaloupe layer was cut at 2-3/8" x 4-1/4" and the Hydrangea Hue layer was cut at 2-5/8" x 4-1/2".  I taped all three together and then taped them to the front of the card about 1/2" from the top and sides.

I cut the pretty frame for the flower from the "Sweet Words & Labels" die set using Basic White card stock. Using my blending brush I scrubbed on some Hydrangea Hue ink.

The flower pot was cut using Hydrangea Hue card stock and was stamped using Hydrangea Hue ink and the stamp from the "Garden Gatherings" bundle.

I stamped the stem of the flowers using Peaceful Pine ink and cut them out with the matching die in the "Garden Gatherings" bundle.

The flowers were stamped using Crisp Cantaloupe ink on Crisp Cantaloupe card stock. I fussy cut them and then taped them to the stem piece. I taped that piece to the back of the vase. Dimensionals were added to the piece and it was set in place on the pretty frame.

Dimenisonals were added to the back of the pretty frame and it was set in place on the front of th card about1-1/8" from the left side and 1/4" from the bottom.

The words are from the same "Garden Gatherings" bundle and were stamped using Basic White card stock. I cut them out using a die from the "Sweet Words & Labels" set, I cut them as close to the right edge of the die as possible. I used Hydrangea Hue ink to stamp the words. I Dimensionals were added to the back of the word piece and it was set in place about 1-1/4" from the top and 1/2" from the right side.

I added some pearls to the flowers and the card was done.

This was a fun card to make, it has lot of layers and pieces but it was still fun. I love the new in-colors.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,
Wanda
