Wooly Friends, Lovely & Beautiful, Impressions Abloom, Friendship Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a fun card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

As you can see it's another card using the sheep from the "Woolly Friends" set. And you guessed it, I did not put it away yesterday so it was right there in front of me when I came back to my worktable. Well, I had to use it! And here's what I came up with.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Lovely & Beautiful" 12" x 12" package.  I taped it to the front of the card.

The two strips of DSP are from the same package and they measure 1-4-3/4" and 2" x 5".  I taped the shorter one down first. It's about 3/8" from the fold and the other piece is about 3/4" from the fold.

The oval is from the "Impressions Abloom" bundle and was cut from a piece of Basic White card stock. I used a blending brush to color the grass in Old Olive ink and the sky in Balmy Blue ink.

I stamped the grass next from the "Woolly Friends" set using Old Olive ink. I also stamped the flowers in Old Olive too. There's a stamp for the flower centers and I stamped them using Fresh Freesia ink. The leaves on the flowers were stamped using Old Olive ink.

I stamped the bee and colored it's wings using Balmy Blue ink.

Then I stamped the sheep parts, the head, body and bow tie.

I used my light Smoky Slate Blends pen for the sheep's legs and wool. I added light Bubble Bath for the ears and nose. The bows were colored in using light Fresh Freesia and the other was colored in using Light Daffodil Delight

The words are from the same "Woolly Friends" set and were stamped using black Memento ink.

Dimensionals were added to the back of the sheep. I set them in place on the front of the card. Then I added the heads and bows.

Dimensionals were added to the back of the oval and it was set in place on the front of the card about 3/16" from the bottom of the card and equal spacing on the sides.  And the card was done.

This was a fun card to make and I REALLY like the words from this set. It's too bad there wasn't a sunshine image in the set.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's friendship card,

Woolly Friends, Simply Said, Children's Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a cute lamb card to share with you. I found it on Pinterest. You can see the original card by clicking here. I changed it just a little. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. I often use white for my cards because I have a ton of it and when I bought it, it was cheaper than the colored card stock. Plus I don't have to cut a piece of white for the inside.

On top of the card base is a 4-1/8" x 5-3/8" piece of Fresh Freesia card stock. On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock. I taped the two pieces togehter.

The Designer Series Paper (DSP) that is used on the front is from the "Lovely & Beautiful" 12" x 12" package. The left strip was cut at 1-7/8" x 4-3/4". The two smaller pieces were cut at 1-7/8" x 2-7/16". They were taped to the front of the card.

Next I cut the arched piece. It's from the "Everyday Arches". I used the 6th one in that set. Then I stamped the images on the arched piece. I stamped the butterfly using black Memento ink and the flowers and grass were stamped using Old Olive ink. I stamped the grass about 1" up from the bottom edge of the arched piece and I went from there with the rest of the grass and flowers.  The images are from the "Woolly Friends" set. The flowers have a stamp to color them all in at one time and same with the leaves. I stamped the flowers using Fresh Freesia ink and Old Olive on the leaves.

Using my blending brush, I scrubbed on some Old Olive on the bottom and Balmy Blue on the sky. I did brush over the flowers and grass with my colors.

The lamb is from the same set and was punched out using the matching punch. I colored the legs and highlighted the wool using my light Smoky Slate Blends pen. The bow was colored in using my dark Daffodil Delight Blends pen. And the ears and nose were colored in using my light Bubble Bath Blends pen.

The words are from the "Simply Said" set and were stamped using Versa Mark ink on a piece of Fresh Freesia card stock. I sprinkled white embossing powder on them and heat set it. I cut them out using the die from the "Stylish Shapes" set. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the front of the card about 1/4" up from the bottom of the arched piece.

I added Dimensionals to the back of the lamb's body and set it in place just a hair above the word piece. I taped the face and bow in place.

Dimensionals were added to the back of the arched piece and it was set in place on the front of the card and the card was done.

This was a very fun card to make and I think it makes a great card for children. Plus it would be a sweet Easter card too!

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,

Days Like This, With You in Mind, Softest Spring, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a super quick and easy birthday card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Flirty Flamingo card stock for the largest layer.

The layer with the butterflies is from the "Days Like This" memories & more card pack. I ran across it today in by pile of 6" x 6" stacks. I thought I'd play with that pack. I trimmed it to 3-3/4" x 5".

The words are from the "With You in Mind" set. I stamped them using black memento ink. I taped it to the Flirty Flamingo card stock. Then I taped that to the front of the card base.

The pink puffy butterfly is from the "Softest Spring" mix & match puffy stickers. I pressed it in place and that was it, the card was done. I told you it was quick.

There's a few more pieces of this printed image and I'm going to put a few more cards together to use them up. It was a fun and quick card to make!

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,

Simply Said, Lovely Blooms, Friendship Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a friendship card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Lovely Blossoms" 12" x 12" package. I taped it to the front of the card base.

Using the second and third dies for the circles from the "Stylish Shapes" set. The DSP is from the same package and I cut it using the smaller die and the larger die was cut from a piece of Basic White card stock. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the front of the card. It's about 3/4" from the sides and top.

The words are from the "Simply Said" set and were stamped using black Memento ink on a scrap piece of Basic White card stock. I cut them out using the "Labeled with Love" punch. Dimensionals were added to the back and the piece was set in place on the front of the card about 1" from each side 1/2" from the bottom.

I added a few pearls to the front and the card was done. This was a super quick and easy card to make. I love using this layout and how quick it was to put together.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's friendship card,

Cute as a Bug, Sweet Bugs, With You in Mind, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today was such a busy day and I was glad that most of the items to make this card were sitting on my worktable.  It's much like yesterday's card. Please read on to see how it was made.

For yesterday's card I had cut the Designer Series Paper (DSP) form the "Cute as a Bug" 12" x 12" package. I cut two different designs of paper to measure 3-1/2" x 2-3/8" and then I cut them on the diagonal.  In doing this it created the opportunity to make two cards. I left the extra pieces on my worktable from yesterday's card and with my day being SO busy today I was glad it was there for me to whip up another card in a flash.

I had cut a piece of Basic White card stock measuring just shy of 3-1/2" x 2-3/8" and I taped the pieces of DSP to it.

For the base of my card I cut a half-sheet of Basic White card stock and folded that in half. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

The largest layer measures 4-1/8" x 5-3/8" and the Basic White layer measures 4' x 5-1/4".  I set the DSP piece on top of this layer so I could get a better idea of where the words would go. I used the same wording as yesterday. They are from the "With You in Mind" set and were stamped using Mossy Meadow ink.

After I was done stamping I taped the DSP piece in place leaving equal space on the top and sides.

For today's version of the card I took a scrap piece of Basic White card stock and cut a stitched circle from the "Stylish Shapes" set. I used the 4th largest circle in that set.  I taped it to the center of the DSP piece.

The bug is from the "Cute as a Bug" package of DSP and was cut using the matching die in the "Sweet Bugs" bundle. I set it in place using Dimensionals.

I added a little ladybug from the "Ladybug Garden" epoxy shapes package and the card was done.

It was great to use up these pieces to make another fun kids card. I like it that I was able to catch a little bee in the DSP.  It wasn't planned but I was happy it worked out that way! This was a fun card to make too! I really do like playing with this layout. Not just because it's small and different but that you can make two cards with that layout.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,

Cute as a Bug, With You In Mind, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a birthday card to share with you using one of my favorite layouts.  This is one of those two for cards. Once the Designer Series Paper (DSP) is cut you can usually make two cards from it, depending on the orientation of the images on the DSP.  Please read on to see how I made today's card.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4-1/8" x 5-3/8" piece of Poppy Parade card stock for the large layer. On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock.

I cut a 3-1/2" x 2-3/8" piece of DSP from the "Cute as a Bug" 12" x 12" package. I used two different images and I cut them on the diagonal. Make sure you cut the diagonal the same (left to right or right to left) on each piece.  I also cut a piece of Basic White card stock that was just shy of 3-1/2" x 2-3/8" and taped the diagonal pieces to it. I cut it a bit shy so the DSP could be put on it without any white showing on the edges. You can pretty much use any color you want to go behind the DSP, it's not going to show.

I laid the diagonal piece on top of the Basic White piece so I could see where the words would go. The words I used are from the "With You in Mind" set and were stamped using Mossy Meadow ink.

Next I taped the rectangle piece to the front of the card leaving equal spacing on the sides and top.

I taped the Basic White piece on top of the Poppy Parade piece and then that was taped on top of the card base.

The adorable bug is from the same "Cute as a Bug" package of DSP and was die cut using the "Sweet Bugs" bundle. Dimensionals were added behind the piece and it was set in place on the front of the card.

I added a little ladybug from the "Ladybug Garden" to the leaf and the card was done.

I think I'm going to put this in my "kids" birthday cards container.  I think ladies would prefer flowers over bugs!! I know I would. LOL. I will see what I can come up with using the other pieces from this "two for" card.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,
Wanda

Greenery Lane, Lovely Arrangements, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a birthday card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

Using the 3rd and 4th dies in the "Arched Dies" set I cut the larger one out of Lost Lagoon and the other using Basic White card stock. I texture the Basic White piece using the "Stone and Vine" embossing folder. I glued it to the Lost Lagoon piece and then I taped that to the front of the card base about 1/2" up from the bottom and equally on each side. I set it under my beading mat to dry and to keep it flat as it dried.

Using the "Greenery Lane" washi tape, I rolled it out onto some Basic White card stock and then I cut out the pieces that I wanted to use. The tape has color sections and I chose some greens from each section.

I stamped the flowers next. They are from the "Greenery Lane" bundle and were stamped using Bubble Bath ink on a scrap piece of Basic White card stock. I cut them out with the matching dies.

The words are from the "Lovely Arrangements" bundle and were stamped using Lost Lagoon ink on a scrap piece of Basic White card stock. I cut them out using a die in that same bundle. I added Dimensionals to the back and set it aside.

I removed the card base from under my mat and began adding the greenery. I glued them in place on the right side of the arch.

The flowers were glued in place and I added a little pearl to the center of each one.

I removed the backing on the Dimensionals and set the word piece in place on the lower part of the card about 7/8" up from the bottom edge of the card and the card was done.

I think this would make a great get well, Mother's Day, thinking of you, and even a sympathy card. It has a versatile look to it.  It was fun to make and I really enjoy playing with that washi tape.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,

Lovely Arrangements, Love Notes, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a birthday card to share with you that I found on Pinterest. I made a few changes but the layout is about the same. You can see the original card by clicking here. Please read on to see how the card was made.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the bottom.

I cut a 5-1/2" x 4-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and die cut the eyelets using the die from the "Lovely Arrangements" bundle.

Then I took a 3-3/4" x 5-1/2" piece of Azure Afternoon card stock and glued the Basic White piece to it. I just drew around the lacy parts with the glue and set it in place on top of the Basic White piece.

I cut a piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Love Notes" 6" x 6" stack. It measured 1-1/2" x 5-1/2".  I taped it to the left side of the Basic White piece.

The Azure Afternoon strip that was leftover from cutting the larger piece, was trimmed to measure 3/4" x 5-1/2".  I taped that to the front of the card 1" from the edge of the DSP.

The flowers are from the same "Lovely Arrangements" bundle and was stamped using Fresh Freesia ink. I took by blending brush and scrubbed on a little Fresh Freesia ink in the middle areas.

The leaves were stamped using Balmy Blue ink and they were cut out using the matching die. I also cut out Basic White leaves using another die in the set. That die cut the lines in the center of the leaves. There's one die that has two leaves and one that has a single leaf. I cut two of each.

The words are from the same bundle and were stamped using Azure Afternoon ink on a scrap piece of Basic White card stock. They were cut out with the die in the bundle.

Dimensionals were added to the back of the large flower and the word piece.

I taped the Balmy Blue leaves on the highest point first and then I set the large flower on top but I didn't press down. I taped the smaller flower under it, again I didn't press down. I repeated this for the other leaves and when I liked how things looked I pressed down on every one of the pieces to make sure they stay in place.

The words were added about 2-5/8" down from the top edge and 1/8" from the right edge. I taped the piece to the card base.

I added a little Wink of Stella to the center of the flowers and I outlined the white leaves with it too.  It doesn't show up in the pic but it is there!

A few blue (retired) "Candy Dots" were added and the card was done.

I struggled with the colors for this card, mostly on the flowers and leaves. I wanted to use the piece of DSP and I knew the color was Azure Afternoon but to get other colors to g well with it was a little more of a challenge.  The card is okay but I think next time I'd use something in the green area for the leaves and I would stamp the flowers using black Memento ink and then color them.  But this is what I ended up with!

Thank you SO much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,

Sweet Bugs, Cute as a Bug, Banner Sayings, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a birthday card to share with you. Once I had finished it I couldn't determine if I should put this in my regular birthday card container or if it should go in the teen/kids container. Tell me what you think. I found this card on Pinterest and you can see the original card by clicking here.  My card is a little bit different, please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic Black card stock. It opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top. I cut two pieces of Basic White card stock that measure 4" x 5-1/4" each.  I taped one to the inside and on the front piece, I textured it using the "Beautiful Pattern" embossing folder. I glued that piece to the front and put it under my stamping mat to set up and stay flat while it dried.

In the meantime I cut the pieces for the front. I cut the characters from a sheet of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Cute as a Bug" 12" x 12" package.  I cut the flower and the three ants. There's a die that cut all three ants at one time. I ended up cutting a plate full of pieces. I figured why not since I was using two dies I might as well fill the plate and run them all through at one time. SO now I have some extra pieces to use on future cards.

On the backside of the cute characters piece is the floral strip on the bottom area. It measures 1-1/4" x 4".

The words are from the "Banner Sayings" bundle and were stamped using black Memento ink. I cut them out using one of the dies in the bundle. This piece measures 9/16" x 1-3/4", if I had to cut mine I'd cut it at 1/2" x 1-3/4" and then trim the sides at angles.

Dimensionals were added to the back of the ants, flowers and word pieces.

I glued the floral strip in place about 5/8" from the bottom and I had equal spacing on the left and right. Mine is not so equal but you didn't notice that until just now!!!

After the strip was set in place I added the birthday greetings. I centered it as much as I could by eyeing it.

Then the flower was set on the right and then the ants were added.  And the card was done. I didn't add any bling to it. I forgot it but I think it looks fine without it.

This was a fun, quick, and easy card to make. I would love to make more like this, those ants are just too cute.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,

Reason to Celebrate, Easter Time Ephemera, Easter Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a couple of Easter cards to share with you.  I often shop at the dollar store to find cards with "granddaughter" on them but this year I decided to make them their Easter cards. Please read on to see how they were made.

The base of my cards is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. I cut a 4-1/2" x 3-1/4" piece of Flirty Flamingo card stock for the largest layer.

I cut a 3" x 3" piece of Basic White card stock for the smaller layer. I textured it using the "Beautiful Pattern" embossing folder.  I glued them to the Flirty Flamingo piece leaving equal space on the sides and top.  I set them under my beading mat to set up.

Next I popped out the images from the "Easter Time" mix & match ephemera package. I placed the eggs and the flowers behind them and added a piece of transparent tape to hold them together. I added Dimensionals on the back of the pieces, removed the backing and set them aside.

Using the "Happy" and "Easter" from the "Reason to Celebrate" set I put them together and then stamped them on the bottom of the Flirty Flamingo piece. I used my MISTI to line up the words evenly so I could stamp them without any issues. Then I taped this piece to the front of the card base.

The characters were added but I thought the card could use something more so I took the little butterflies from the "Softest Spring" mix and match puffy stickers package.  And the cards were done.

These were fun to make and I'm sure the granddaughters will like them along with the candies! LOL

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Easter cards,

Reason to Celebrate, Easter Time Ephemera, Easter Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have an Easter card to share with you that I found on Pinterest. I was searching for an Easter card to make because I am going to go visit my mom tomorrow and I wanted to bring her an Easter card because I was told it takes 2 weeks for mail to get to the residents. I don't know why it takes that long or if it is true but I'm bringing her card tomorrow along with some of her favorite candies.  You can see the original card by clicking here.   Please read on to see how I made this card.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left. I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Gorgeous Grape card stock for the largest layer.

The Basic White layer measures 3-3/4" x 5" and I textured it using the "Beautiful Pattern" embossing folder. I glued it to the Gorgeous Grape piece and I set it under my stamping mat to set up while I worked on the other parts of the card.

The wreath and bunny are from the "Easter Time" mix & match ephemera package. These cute cut outs make it way for you to create a quick card.

The words are from the "Reason to Celebrate" set and were stamped using Gorgeous Grape ink. I cut the piece to measure 1-1/2" x 1-1/4".  I rounded each corner with a corner rounder.  (what a tough sentence to type!! LOL).

I taped the Gorgeous Grape layered piece to the front of the card.

Dimensionals were added to the back of the wreath and I set it in place on the front of the card. It's about 1/2" from the top and 5/8" from each side.

I laid the bunny on top of the wreath to see where I needed to add tape and where I needed to add Dimensionals. I set the bunny in place about 1/2" from the side of the ear and fold and 3/4" from the bottom edge.

Dimensionals were added to the back of the word piece and it was set in place on the lower part of the card. It's about 1/2" from the bottom edge and 1/2" from the right edge.

I thought the card could use a little bling so I added a few colored rhinestones from the (retired) "Noble Peacock" package and the card was done.

This was a fun card to make and I'm sure my mom will like it. Plus there's still more pieces in that package that I can make additional Easter cards.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Easter card,

Cute as a Bug, Simply Said, Banner Sayings, Friendship Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a sweet card to share with you that I found on Pinterest. I made a few changes to it. You can see the original card by clicking here. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and textured it using the "Beautiful Pattern" embossing folder. I glued it to the front of the card base and set it under my stamping mat so it can stay flat while the glue set up.

While the glue was drying, I die cut the bee, watering can and the large flowers from the "Cute as a Bug" 12" x 12" package of Designer Series Paper (DSP) the little flower with the grass is from the same package of DSP but it was fussy cut.

The "hello" is from the "Simply Said" was stamped using black Memento ink and cut out using a die from the "Banner Sayings" bundle.

The large circle is from the "Spotlight on Nature" die set. Basic White card stock was used for this. I took my blending brush and scrubbed on some Old Olive on the bottom and Balmy Blue on the upper part.

To assemble the pieces, I added Dimensionals to the backs of the cut pieces of DSP. I set the bee and watering can on first so I knew how much room I had to add the large flowers. Those were added next and then the little flower with the grass. Dimensionals were added to the back of the circle and it was set in place on the front of the card about 1/2" from the top and both sides.

I added a couple of Dimensionals to the back of the "hello" and set it in place on the front of the card about 1/4" up from the bottom and 1-1/2" from both sides.

For a final touch I took three tiny clear dots from the "Ladybug Garden" epoxy shapes.  And that was it.

This was a super quick and easy card to make. I love the look of that embossing folder. It's got such a nice spring look to it.  I thought it looked nice with these elements.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's friendship card,

Lovely Blossoms, Simply Said, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a birthday card to share with you that I found on Pinterest. You can see the original card by clicking here.  There was no direct link to the original card so I guessed at the measurements. Please read on to see how I made the card.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Secret Sea card stock. Once cut it measures 4-1/4" x 11". It opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top. I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and taped it to the inside.

The Designer Series Paper (DSP) I used is from the "Lovely Blossoms" 12" x 12" package and was cut at 4" x 5-1/4". I taped it to the front of the card.

The floral image is also from that same package, it's one of the smaller flower images on a full sheet of fun images.  That piece measured 3" x 4".

The Secret Sea layer behind the focal piece measures 3-1/4" x 4-1/4" and the Crumb Cake piece behind that measures 3-1/2? x 4-1/2".  I taped the Secret Sea layer to the focal piece and that was taped to the Crumb Cake piece. Dimensionals were added to the back and the piece was set in place on the front of the card. I centered it as much as I could by eyeing it.

I stuck a glue dot on the area near the stem of the flower and looped a piece of linen thread to it.

The words are from the "Simply Said" set and were stamped using black Memento ink on a scrap piece of Basic White card stock.  It measures 2-3/4" x 1/4". Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place over the linen piece.

I didn't have the embellishments that the original card had and (if you can believe this) I didn't have any "Candy Dots" (retired) in a dark blue or black.  I am almost out of "Candy Dots".  I ended up using a few crystal rhinestones and the card was done.

This was such a super quick and easy card to make. I love the look of it. The colors used here are so soothing.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,

Friendly Foliage, Beautiful Patterns, Banner Sayings, Sympathy Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I needed to make a sympathy card to bring with us tomorrow.  I found one on Pinterest and thought I'd give it a try. You can see the original card by clicking here.  There was no link to the card so I was unable to get any measurements. Please read on to see how the card was made.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White that I textured using the "Beautiful Pattern" embossing folder. I glued it to the front of the card and set it under my stamping mat to keep the piece flat while the glue set up.

The top layer is a 2-1/2" x 3-3/4" piece of Basic White card stock was cut for the focal piece. I stamped the image from the "Friendly Foliage" bundle using black Memento ink. Then I cut the center out using a matching die from the bundle. I added a scrap piece of Basic Black to the back and then Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on a 2-5/8" x 3-7/8" piece of Basic White card stock.

A 4-1/8" x 2-7/8" piece of Basic White was cut for the next layer. I taped those two layers together. Then I removed the backing from the Dimensionals on the focal piece and set it on top of the those two Basic White pieces.

Then all of that was glued in place on the center of the card.

The words are from the "Peace on Earth" set using black Memento ink. I cut them out using the die from the "Banner Sayings" bundle. I set it in place on the front of the card using Dimensionals on the right and bottom and glue on the left and middle and the card was done.

This card has lots of layers but yet it went together pretty fast.

Fragrant Layers, Banner Sayings, Note Card, Friendship Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I tried my hand at scrubbing in colors using blending brushes.  Please read on to see how I made this card.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Fresh Freesia card stock for the largest layer. Then I cut a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of Balmy Blue card stock. I taped the two layers together and set them aside.

Next I cut a 3-1/2" x 4-3/4" piece of Basic White card stock. I took the die from the "Fragrant Layers" bundle and centered it on the piece. Then it was die cut.

I cut a 3" x 4-1/2" piece of Basic White and this is where the fun began. I started with Daffodil Delight and scrubbed in some color where the center of the flowers would be. I would set the top layer on this piece so I could see where I needed to add the colors. I used Fresh Freesia next for the flowers and then Granny Apple Green for the leaves. Once those were done I added Balmy Blue in all the open areas. I thought the piece looked kind of cool without the framed piece so I thought I'd take a pic and show you how it looked after adding the colors.

I added tape to the solid part on the back of the piece. Then I added glue to the other parts with a toothpick. That was not so fun but what I ended up doing was making a nice size puddle and set the toothpick on top at an angle so the glue was not just at the tip but along the toothpick side. Then I tapped the glue in place and it went pretty fast and the glue didn't dry before I was able to set it in place over the colored area.

I added more tape to the back of the piece and set it in place on top of the Balmy Blue piece. Then that was taped to the front of the card.

The words are from the "Banner Sayings" bundle and were cut out using a die in that bundle. I also cut a Granny Apple Green piece that matched the shape of the word piece. I cut it down the middle and taped each piece to the back of the word piece.  The word piece was set in place using Dimensionals and the card was done.

This was fun to do but not so fun that I would make a lot of these!  Maybe one or two more in the near future but for now, no!

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's note card,

Lovely Blossoms, Everyday Arches, Friendship Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have two cards to share with you.  I wanted to use the arched die to highlight an image. Please read on to see how the card was made.

The base of both of the cards is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. They open on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4-1/8" x 5-3/8" piece of Old Olive card stock for both cards.

A 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock was cut for both pieces and the 5th largest arch was cut in the center of each piece. I textured one using the "Stone & Vine" embossing folder.

The Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Lovely Blossoms" 12" x 12" package. There's a sheet with a number of images on it. There's actually three duplicate sheets. I chose the triple flower image for these two cards. I trimmed them to 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" and taped it to the back of the arched pieces. The textured one I glued instead of taped. Then I taped that to the front of the card bases.

The "hello" is from the "Everyday Arches" bundle and were stamped using black Memento ink. I cut them out using the "Labeled with Love" dies. It came in a set of three when it was available but there is a punch too. I had opted for the dies instead of the punch.  The dies are now retired but the punch is still available.  I also cut two Old Olive pieces using the same dies. I cut them in half the long way and taped them to the back of the "hello" piece.

I added a few retired "Candy Dots" to the front of the card and the card was done.

So which do you like better, the plain one or the textured one?  I had started out wanting to make the textured one but as I was putting the card together I realized I had forgotten to texture the white piece so I thought I'd make two and see what you think.

This was a very quick, fun and easy card to make. I'm leaning towards the textured one.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's friendship card,

Lovely Arrangements, Note Card, Friendship Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a card to share with you that I found on Pinterest.  I was looking for something that used the "Lovely Arrangements" bundle. You can see the original card by clicking here. I was unable to find any information on how the card was made so I had to wing it.  Please read on to see how I made the card.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Love Notes" 6" x 6" package.  I taped it to the card base.

Next I die cut the circles from Basic White card stock using the die from the "Lovely Arrangements" bundle. I cut the piece at the last two rows of circles. I needed the piece longer and the only way to do it is to cut it and tape down the two pieces. I taped them about 1-1/2" from the top edge of the card base.

Using the "Stylish Shapes" die set I cut two circles one from Gorgeous Grape card stock and one using Basic White card stock. I used the second and third dies in that set.

I stamped the flower from the "Lovely Arrangements" bundle using Versa Mark ink and sprinkled it with white embossing powder. I heat set the powder.  Using a blending brush I scrubbed on some Highland Heather ink over the whole piece and then scrubbed on some Gorgeous Grape ink in the center area. I added Dimensionals to the back and set it aside.

Then I stamped the leaves from the same "Lovely Arrangements" bundle using Granny Apple Green ink. I cut them out with the matching die.

I set the flower on the Basic White circle to see where the wording would go. The words are from the same bundle and were stamped using Gorgeous Grape ink.

The backing on the Dimensionals were removed and the leaves were set in place on the back of the flower. I added a little tape to the back of the leaves and the piece was set in place over the die cut circle pieces.

I tied a white bow and I used tape in the middle and a little glue to each side of that tape to hold it in place. And the card was done.

This was a super quick, easy and fun card to make.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's note card,

Sterling Silver and Black Obsidian Earrings

Hello and welcome to my blog. I will be posting my card a bit later but I wanted to share with you a pair of earrings I made using sterling silver and black Obsidian tube beads.

These were very fun to make, including the ear wires. This is the first year I've made ear wires. In the past I would just purchase them but I'm trying to make everything that I can by hand.

You can check these out in my web store by clicking here.

Thank you for taking a peek at my latest creation,

Lovely Blossoms, The Right Words, Sympathy Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a sympathy card to share with you. This is such a versatile layout that you could use it for a number of other occasions or events. Please read on to see how the card was made.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 2-3/4" piece of Basic White for the top solid layer. On top of that layer I cut strips of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Lovely Blossoms" 12" x 12" package. Going from left to right the pieces measure 1" x 3-3/4", 3/4" x 3-3/4" and 1/2" x 3-3/4". These were cut from a 3-3/4" x 2-1/4" piece of the DSP. The peach color is the backside of the floral side. I taped the strips in place. I always tape the end pieces on first and then fit in the center piece.

The piece was set in place on the center of the card.

The words are from "The Right Words" set and were stamped using black Memento ink. I cut the out using the die from the "Countryside Corners" set. Dimensionals were added to the back but not on about 1/2" from the left side. You don't want Dimensionals were the piece hangs over the striped panel.

I had some green "Candy Dots" (retired) and I added them to the front of the card and the card was done.

This was a super quick and easy card to make. The most difficult part was trying to figure out what colors of DSP to use for the piece. There's so many fun possibilities in all the packages I have. I may take some retired card stock and whip up a few cards using this layout. And I may try adding a textured layer to the top of the card base to it won't look so plain. But for a sympathy card, plain is what it needed.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's sympathy card,

Sweet Bugs, Friendship Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a cute card toshare with you that I found on Pinterest. I had accidentlly closed the window but was able to find the card on the internet. You can see that card by clicking here. The original card was made in a square note card shape. I didn't want to make a square card mostly because I don't have any square envelopes.  So I thought I'd use a regular size card and then I thought it would look good if I made the card in landscape format.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic Black card stock and taped it to the front of the card.

On top of the Basic Black piece is a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of Basic White card stock.

I had some scraps of textured card stock. I cut them at 4-1/4" x 5/8". I taped them to the front of the card. I used super sticky tape to add them to the front of the card. I debated whether or not to use glue but I opted for the strong tape. I centered the strips on the piece about 3/4" from the top edge.  I use a round toothpick between the strips.  I don't always like to measure but a toothpick was a perfect way to get the spacing exact between the three strips.

Once the strips were in place I added the words. They are from the "Sweet Bugs" bundle. I stamped them using black Memento ink. The words are a bit thick and that's what you get when you just inked the pad and used it right away.  You really need to let the ink sink in a bit, right?  Well, I didn't! I taped the piece on top of the Basic Black layer.

The flower image is from the same "Sweet Bugs" bundle. I stamped the image using black Memento ink. I tapped lightly on the ink pad this time! I cut the piece out using the matching die. Then I colored it using both light and dark Fresh Freesia and Granny Apple Green Blends pens.  Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the front of the car about 1-1/2" from the bottom of the flower stem to the right edge of the card base. The farthest tip of the left tulip is 2-1/4" from the left edge of the card base.

I added some rhinestones (retired) to the front and the card was done.

This was a very fun and quick card to make. I was happy that I was able to make it in landscape format and have it turn out.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's friendship card,

Gears & Texture, Lovely Arrangements, Masculine Birthday Card

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a masculine card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic Beige card stock and taped it to the front of the card.

A 3" x 4-1/4" piece of Crumb Cake card stock was cut for the layer. On top of that is a 2-7/8" x 4-1/8" piece of Basic White card stock that was stamped on using the images from the "Gears & Texture" bundle. I used full Crumb Cake ink on the strip/lined images and on the splatters I stamped off once. I taped this piece to the Crumb Cake piece. Dimensionals were added to the back.

I cut the gears from the same bundle using Crumb Cake, Basic Black and silver foil card stock. I glued down the chain looking image first. Then I added Dimensionals behind the Crumb Cake gear and glued the rest of them on and around it.

The words are from the "Lovely Arrangements" bundle and were stamped using black Memento ink. I cut them out using the die from the same bundle.  I set the words in place using Dimensionals.

I removed the backing on the Dimensionals and centered the piece on the front of the card and the card was done.

This was a fun card to make. I like playing with these gears. It makes a great masculine card.  It would also be great as a Father's Day card too.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's masculine birthday card,

Lovely Arrangements, Irresistible Designs, Friendship Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a card to share with you using the same "Lovely Arrangements" bundle because I wanted to use that rectangle of circles background die. I found this card on the internet. You can see the original card by clicking here. I made a few changes so please read on to see how I made it.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left. I cut a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of Basic Beige card stock and taped it to the front of the card.

Using a piece of speciality card stock from the "Irresistible Designs" 12" x 12" package. Using my blending brush I scrubbed on some Soft Sea Foam ink and then I cut it out using the die from the "Lovely Arrangements" bundle.  I added Dimenisonals to the back and set the piece in place on the front of the card. I centered it as much as I could by eyeing it.  I always figure that if I think it looks centered then it's centered enough!

Next I stamped the flowers from the "Lovely Arrangements" bundle using Versa Mark ink on Basic White card stock. I sprinkled white embossing powder on top and heat set the powder. Using a blending brush, I scrubbed on some Fresh Freesia ink.  Then I cut the two flowers out using the matching dies.

I stamped the leaves using Granny Apple Green ink and cut them out using the matching dies.

The words are from the same bundle and were stamped using black Memento ink and cut out using a die in the bundle.

The large flower was added first. I set it in place using Dimenisonals. Then I added the smaller flower wit Dimensionals on the lower part and glue on the upper part.

Glue was added to the lower 1/4th and slipped under the flowers.

A Dimensional was added to the right end of the word piece and glue on the left side and it was set in place on the lower part of the card. I planned it so the one leaf would sit above the word piece.

I added a few pearls and the card was done.

This was a fun card to make and I am pleased with the way it turned out. I am not a fan of heat embossing mostly because I tend to burn my fingers, even if I don't have my fingers on the paper (don't ask! LOL).

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's friendship card,

Lovely Arrangements, Nature Walk, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I wanted to play with the "Lovely Arrangements" bundle and I found a card on Pinterest that looked like fun. You can see that card by clicking here. I tried to find the original post, I spent a considerable amount of time looking for it but had no luck. Please read on to see how the card was made.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock.  I cut a 3" x 4-3/4" piece of Basic White card stock and textured it using the "Lovely Stripes" embossing folder. I glued it in place on the front of the card. I set it under my stamping mat to allow it to dry flat.

Next I cut the circled background. I used the die from the "Lovely Arrangements" bundle on Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Nature Walk" 12" x 12" package.  I cut the light green one twice so I could cut the sides and glue them on top of the darker piece. I found this an awful job and don't think I'd like to do it again!  It was time consuming too! Anyway, once it was done I glued it to the front of the card. I put it under my stamping mat to set up and stay flat while it dried.

Next I stamped the flower from the same "Lovely Arrangements" bundle using Versa Mark ink and I sprinkled white embossing powder on top. I heat set the powder and then cut the flower out using the matching die.

I took a blending brush and lightly scrubbed on some Fresh Freesia ink. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set aside.

I stamped the leaves using Mossy Meadow and then set it on the back of the flower so a Dimensional or two would make it stick in place. I added a little glue to the lower part of the leaves and set the pieces in place on the front of the card.

The words are from the same bundle and were stamped using Mossy Meadow ink on a scrap piece of Basic White card stock. I cut them out using the matching die. I trimmed the ends a bit closer to the words. Dimensionals were added to the right side and a little bit of glue to the left. I was going to use tape but I wasn't sure how well it would hold on the embossed flower part.

I tied a piece of Baker's Twine in a bow and glued the knot just underneath the flower petal.  I had some retired rhinestones from the "Noble Peacock" package and set them in place on the front of the card and the card was done.

I like how the card turned out but I doubt I'd ever do the half circles like that again.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,

Fragrant Layers, With You In Mind, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a birthday card to share with you that I found on Pinterest. What peaked my interest was the wording. I have that stamp and have hardly used it so I thought I'd pull it off the shelf and play with it. You can see the original card by clicking here. Please read on to see how the card was made.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock, it opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Night of Navy card stock for the largest layer. The Designer Series Paper (DSP) used here is from the "True Blue Florals" 12" x 12" package.  It measures 5-1/8" x 3-7/8" and was taped to the Night of Navy piece. Then I taped that to the front of the card base.

The Basic White focal piece was cut at 3-1/2" x 2-1/2" and was stamped using an image from the "Fragrant Layers". I stamped it using black Memento ink and then I colored it using my Blends pens. I used both light and dark Balmy Blue, light and dark Old Olive and light Lemon Lolly.

I cut a piece of vellum at 3-1/2" x 2-1/2" and using Versa Mark ink with the "Happy Birthday" image from the "With You In Mind" set. I sprinkled black embossing powder on top and heat set it.

A piece of Night of Navy card stock was cut for the top layer, it measures 3-5/8" x 2-5/8".

I had to think about how I was going to attach the vellum piece because tape usually shows so I ended up taking a chance and using a piece of a double sided adhesive sheet.  I set the cut sheet on the backside of the vellum piece and then set the piece on top of the stamped and colored image. Tape was added to the back of the focal piece and it was set in place on the Night of Navy layer. Dimensionals were added to the back of the piece and was set in place on the front of the card. I centered it as much as I could by eyeing it. And that was it, the card was done.

This was a fun card to make and I was glad I took a chance on using the adhesive sheet on the vellum. I think it turned out well. And I was happy that I got to use the "With You In Mind" set. I think I've used it before but not very much!  I have a few more cards I'd like to make using this layout with the vellum.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,

Extraordinary Flora, Lovely Arrangements, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have one more card using the "Extraordinary Flora" washi tape and then I'll move onto something else. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.  I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and textured it using the "Damask Design" embossing folder.  I glued it to the front of the card and set it under my stamping mat to keep flat while it set up.

I had also textured another piece of Basic White card stock using the "Damask Design" embossing folder and then I cut it out using the 5th largest die in the "Everyday Arches" set. Now had I been thinking I would have die cut the card stock and then textured it. In doing it after I lost a little bit of the texture, it had gotten a bit flat.  But it is what it is and I didn't pay attention to it until after I had added the Dimensionals to the back. So there was no turning back at this point.  I set the piece in place on the front of the card, centering it as much as I could by eyeing it.

Next came the flowers and leaves. I had all of these pieces leftover so I thought I'd use them up (I didn't use them up, I had too many).  To get the pieces I had taken a section of the washi tape and stuck it to a piece of Basic White card stock and cut it from there using the matching die. You can also cut it on other colors of card stock or even vellum. I prefer the white card stock because it gives it that look of being a sticker.  I glued the pieces in place and for the smaller flowers I added a Dimensional behind them and set them in place.

And lastly I added the "Happy Birthday" from the "Lovely Arrangements" with black Memento ink on Basic White card stock. I cut them out using the die from the "Banner Sayings" bundle. They were set in place on the front of the card using small Dimensionals and the card was done.

This was a very quick card to make. After I got it assembled I thought it might have looked better had I used Melon Mambo or even Mossy Meadow card stock for a second arch as a layer behind the textured white one. Why don't I ever see this before I'm done working on the card?  Oh well, like I said, it is what it is. I'm not displeased with how it looks, I just think it could look a little bit better.

Thank you SO much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,
Wanda

Extraordinary Flora, Lovely Arrangements, Friendship Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have another card I found using the "Extraordinary Flora" washi tape. You can see the original card by clicking here. I arranged the washi tape pieces a little differently than on the original card. Please read on to see how the card was made.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 3-1/2" x 4-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and textured it using the "Stone & Vine" embossing folder. I glued the piece to the front of the card. I set it under my stamping mat so it could stay flat while it set up.

I took out my roll of "Extraordinary Flora" washi tape and set it on a piece of Basic White card stock. Then I used the matching die and cut the pieces out. The die cuts all of the pieces at one time.

Before adding the washi pieces I stamped the words from the "Lovely Arrangements" bundle using black Memento ink.

Dimensionals were added to the large center flower and the rest of the pieces were glued and tucked under. A couple of the small flowers were added using a Dimensional and the card was done.

I think the most difficult part of this card was trying to get the die on the washi tape lined up. Mine slipped a little when it went through the Big Shot. I used painters tape to hold things together, I guess two small strips isn't enough.  I'll try more next time.  Anyway, the images are within the cut area so they were usable.

I thought this was a fun card to put together. It's a very quick card to make too.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's friendship card,
Wanda

Fragrant Layers, Simply Said, Extraordinary Flora Washi Tape, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a card to share with you using the "Extraordinary Flora" washi tape. I found this card on Pinterest. You can see the original card by clicking here.  There was no link to the original designer so I had nothing to go by. Please read on to see how I made today's card.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock to use as a layer to tape/glue the other pieces to.  For the washi tape panel, I tolled out the tape on a piece of Basic White card stock that was as wide (about 3-1/4") and to where the color changed from Melon Mambo to Fresh Freesia color (about 5-1/4"). I trimmed the piece to make sure it was 5-1/4".  It could be trimmed a little less if needed, just remember to trim the quarter sheet down too.

I used the "Stone & Vine" embossing folder on Basic White card stock for the side panel. I textured a full quarter sheet and then trimmed off 1-1/2" which could have been 1-3/4" (I think that might have looked better) but I had already cut my piece off (I was making two cards at one time) so I just went with what I cut off. I glued that piece to the left and on top of the left side of the washi tape.

Using the matching die, I cut out a section of flowers. I had affixed them to another piece of Basic White card stock. This time I didn't have to be so perfect setting the tape on the card stock. I just made sure it covered the tape. I set the die in place and cut the flowers and leaves. I used 6 of them for this card. The rest I put in a little baggie to use at another date (maybe!).

I took my silicone mat (if you don't have one, use the backing from your Dimensonals, it's a non-stick surface) and I added Dimensionals to the larger flower and then I just slipped the other items under it until I got them to where I liked the look. I turned the piece over and added double sided tape to any area that didn't have a Dimensional showing and I set the piece in place on the textured side of the card.

The words are from the "Simply Said" set and were stamped using black Memento ink on Basic Beige card stock.  I cut them out using the die from the "Fragrant Layers" bundle. The die has a pretty frame but I omitted it. I tried to cut one out using a contrasting color but it just didn't look nice so I just used the center part. I offset the words so there would be room for the flower at the end. Oh, by the way, that piece measures 3-1/4" x 1/2" if you need to cut one without a die. I glued the word piece in place.

The little flower was set in place using a Dimensional and the card was done.

I had fun putting this card together. I love lots of little pieces and it was quick and easy to do too.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,
Wanda

Cute as a Bug, Simply Said, Teen Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I found a quick and easy card on Pinterest. It didn't have a link so I just guessed on how it was made. You can see the original card by clicking here. Please read on to see how the card was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. On top I taped a 4" x 5" piece of Basic White card stock that was textured using the "Beautiful Pattern" embossing folder..

I cut a 5-1/4" x 1-3/4" strip of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Cute as a Bug" 12" x 12" package. I taped it to a 5-1/2" x 2" piece of Basic Black card stock and glued it to the front of the card about 1/2" from the fold.

Using the 4th die on one side and the 3rd die on the other side of the "Spotlight on Nature" dies, I cut the large one using Basic Black card stock and the smaller one using Basic White card stock.

On the Basic White one I stamped the birthday wishes from the "Simply Said" set using black Memento ink. I taped that piece to the Basic Black piece and then I set it in place on the front of the card using Dimensionals. It's about 3/8" from the right edge and 1/2" from the bottom edge.

The bugs are from the same package of DSP and were cut using the matching dies.

I added a ladybug from the "Ladybug Garden" epoxy shapes package and the card was done.

This was such a quick, easy and fun card to make. I just love those little bugs. I think this would make a great teen birthday card for a girl or a boy.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,

Cute as a Bug, Simply Said, Banner Sayings, Friendship Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a fun card to share with you. I used the polaroid technique to make this card. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Mossy Meadow for the large layer. The Designer Series Paper (DSP) is from the "Cute as a Bug" 12" x 12" package. I used one of the images I find difficult to work with and was glad I could make it work. I taped this piece of DSP to the Mossy Meadow piece and then that was taped to the card base.

For the polaroid piece I cut basic White at 2-7/8" x 3-5/8" and I cut the Mossy Meadow piece at 3" x 3-3/4".  I taped the two pieces together.

The DSP with the cute bugs on it are from the same package and was cut at 2" x 2" and the Mossy Meadow layer behind it was cut at 2-1/8" x 2-1/8" and the two pieces were taped together. They were set in place on the upper part of the Basic White piece using Dimensionals and I had equal spacing on the top and sides.

The "hello" is from the "Simply Said" set using Mossy Meadow ink on Basic White card stock. I cut it out using the die from the "Banner Saying". I also cut a Mossy Meadow piece using the same shape. I cut that piece in half. I added tape to the back of the word piece and affixed it to the two Mossy Meadow pieces to create a full layered look. Dimenisonals were added to the back and it was set in place on the polaroid piece.

I added a ladybug embellishment from the "Ladybug Garden" epoxy shapes package and the card was done.

This was a very fun card to make and I am thrilled I was able to use that difficult DSP image on the background. I think next time I may texture the front of the polaroid part, though it may not look so much like a polaroid if I do that.  I guess I'll just have to try it to see.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's friendship card,

Simply Said, Greenery Lane Washi Tape, Thinking of You Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a thinking of you card to share with you. I found it on Pinterst and thought I'd give it a try. I haven't played with the "Greenery Lane" washi tape much and when I saw that card I decided to make it. Please read on to see how the card was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Garden Green card stock. It opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top. I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and taped it to the inside.

On the front I cut a Pretty Peacock layer and taped it to the front of the card. Then I cut a 1/4 sheet of Garden Green card stock and textured it using the "Forever Plaid" embossing folder. After texturing I cut it to 3-7/8" x 5-1/8". I glued this to the Pretty Peacock piece. I put it under my stamping mat to help it dry flat.

I took the washi tape and rolled some of it off onto a piece of Basic White card stock. It was trimmed to 3-1/2" x 3-1/2". Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the left side of the card, leaving about 1/4" on the left side, top and bottom of the embossed piece.

The words are from the "Simply Said" set and were stamped using Pretty Peacock ink on Basic White card stock. The "Labeled With Love" punch was used to punch the piece out. I also punched out a Pretty Peacock piece for the layer. I cut that piece in half down the middle. Tape was added to each side of the word piece and it was taped to the Pretty Peacock pieces. Dimensionals were added to the right side and tape to the left and it was set in place on the lower right side of the card.

I added a brass butterfly to the word piece and the card was done.

This was a very quick and easy card to make. I really like the washi tape and I will be making another card with it soon. I had a problem getting the washi tape on the Basic White card stock and I ended up giving it a couple of tries and now I have some large pieces to work with. So why not make a card or two with them? I'll be able to cut around the pieces that got warps or little creases on it. SO stay tuned!

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's thinking of you card,
