Thoughtful Blooms, Beautiful Bouquet, Birthday Card

I found today's card on the Internet. I was looking for something to make using the "Thoughtful Blooms" Sale-a-Brations" set but this card happened to be in the mix and I clicked on it. I got out my "Thoughtful Blooms" set and was set to work on this card when I saw that it was not the right stamp set.  This card was made using the "Beautiful Bouquet" set.  I actually have that set and I have hardly used it.  And my guess is that it will be retiring this year. I hope not, I'd like to use it a bit more before it retires.  What I really need to do is to learn not to purchase so many stamp sets. That way I can use them to death and won't feel so bad when they retire.  This set also came with matching dies so you know there is a bit of an investment involved here. So onto my card.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Flirty Flamingo card stock.  This card opens at the bottom and the fold is at the top.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock and drew a light pencil line one inch up from the bottom and one inch down from the top. This was my working area.  In the video no lines were drawn, the lady just went for it.  LOL  I couldn't I needed some guidelines.

First I stamped the larger flower using Flirty Flamingo ink.  Here they were stamped in an "M" form.  It should be a "W" but I turned the piece around because this way looked better to me.

Then I stamped the thinner petal flowers using Grapefruit Grove ink. I had an Ink Spot from a Paper Pumpkin kit or I would have ended up using Calypso Coral instead or maybe Pumpkin Pie. I stamped them in a "W" form.

Next I stamped the smaller flower using Petal Pink.  There's no direction to stamping them, the littler flowers are used as fill-ins.

And lastly I stamped the smallest flower shown using Flirty Flamingo ink.

The words are from the "Sending You Thoughts" set and were stamped using black Memento ink.  I punched them out using the "Pretty Label" punch.  The edges were sponged with Flirty Flamingo and the card was ready to assemble.

I taped the Whisper White piece to the Flirty Flamingo card base.  I set the words in place using Dimensionals and some pearls were added to the largest flowers and on the white background.  And the card was done.

This was a very fun and easy card to make.  I LOVE the colors and I think that is what attracted me to it in the first place.  I'm tired of looking at snow here and I welcome the colors of spring.  With the upcoming weekend predicted to be in the lower 40's the colors will be coming soon!

Thank you SO much for taking the time to stop by,
Wanda
