Enduring Beauty, Flowering Zinnias, Adventurous Sky, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have card using the "Enduring Beauty" bundle. I made a card yesterday using the same bundle. I changed the colors of the flowers and used Designer Series Paper (DSP) on the background. Please read on to see how I made my card.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of DSP from the "Flowering Zinnias" 12" x 12" package. I colored it using my blending brushes with Daffodil Delight and Calypso Coral ink. I did this after I colored the flowers.

The flowers were stamped using the image from the "Enduring Beauty" bundle using black Memento ink. I used the matching stencils in the bundle. I used stencils # 1-4.  I colored a couple of the flowers using Daffodil Delight and the remaining flowers using Calypso Coral. I used the Calypso Coral for the highlights on the three flowers. I also used it on the Daffodil Delight flowers but very lightly. I tried using Daffodil Delight to make it a bit darker but it didn't work. The leaves were stamped using Granny Apple Green for both the leaves and the details on the leaves. Once the coloring was done I cut them out using the matching die.

Then I added the ink to the DSP. I just randomly scrubbed some on. I was going to add some Granny Apple Green but I thought it might look muddy on top of the peach colored DSP.

Dimensionals were added to the back of the image and it was set aside.

The words are from the "Adventurous Sky" bundle and were stamped on a scrap piece of Basic White card stock using black Memento ink. I cut them out using the die from the "Unbounded Love" bundle. Dimensionals were added to the back.

I set the two die cut pieces on the front of the card and moved them around a bit until I thought they looked good.

This was a fun and easy card to make. I love using the stencils and when I do use them I stamp and color more than four at a time. As long as the stencils are inked up, might as well make more than one.

Thank you SO much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,
Wanda
