Adventurous Sky, Everyday Details, Simply Said, Masculine Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a card to share with you that I found on Pinterest. I did change it a bit so suit my needs. You can see the original card here. Please read on to see how the card was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Blueberry Bliss card stock. I scored it at 3-5/8", 4-1/4" and 4-7/8".  I made my book fold part smaller than on the original card. I wanted more of the Designer Series Paper (DSP) to show. A standard book fold is scored at 3-1/4", 4-1/4" and 5-1/4". It's 1" wide. Mine is 5/8" wide. You can pretty much make them as wide or as narrow as you'd like.

Next I cut my DSP from the "Take to the Sky" 12" x 12"package. The strip on the side measures 5-1/4" x 3/8".  And the airplane DSP measures 5-1/4" x 3-3/8". I taped both of the pieces of DSP in place on the front of the card.

The plane from the "Adventurous Sky" bundle was stamped next using black Memento ink on a scrap piece of Basic White card stock. I colored it in using my Blending pen and Copper Clay ink, Smoky Slate ink, and Boho Blue ink. I did not buy the markers or the Blends pens. I just end up buying the ink pads. I do buy the refills but I find that in the time I have the pads they have not run out of ink so I'm rethinking that purchase in the future.

After stamping and coloring the plane, I cut it out using the second circle die in the "Everyday Details" set. It is different and gives the image a nice touch. I like the larger dotted holes around the circle. I set the circle in place on the front of the card using Dimensionals.

The words are from the "Simply Said" set and were stamped using Blueberry Bushel ink. I cut them out using the third rectangle die in the same "Everyday Details" die set. The words were set in place on the front of the card and the card was done.

This was such a quick and easy card to make. I am pleased with the way it turned out.

Thank you for taking your time to stop in and see today's masculine card,
Wanda
