Adventurous Sky, Take to the Sky, Simply Said, Masculine Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a card to share with you from a card I found on Pinterest that gave me most of the ideas for this card. You can see the original card here. There were no instructions on how that card was made.  Please read on to see how the card was made.

I had to make one more airplane card before I put the set aside and moved onto something else (for now!).

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4' x 5-1/4" piece of Boho Blue card stock for the layer.  On top of that layer is a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Designer Series Paper DSP from the "Take to the Sky" 12" x 12" package. I taped the two layers together and then taped them to the front of the card.

I die cut the plane next. It's from the "Adventurous Sky" bundle. I used Blueberry Bushel and Pebble Path for the card stock colors. Oh and Basic Black for the propellers.

I also cut two rounded stitched rectangles from the "Nested Essentials" die set. I used the first and second largest dies.

Two clouds were stamped from the "Adventurous Sky" bundle using Boho Blue ink on some scrap Basic White card stock and then die cut using the matching dies.

The words are from the "Simply Said" set and were stamped using Blueberry Bushel ink.

To assemble the front I taped the clouds on the larger rectangle. I glued the airplane pieces together. Dimensionals were added to the back and the plane was set in place on top of the large rectangle. The piece was taped to the front of the card about 5/8" from the top and a bit offset from center. If you center it the plane will be off the edge on the left side. Just place it where you think it will look the best. I could have moved it over a bit but I like the way it looked being more offset.

The words were set in place using Dimensionals and the card was done.

This was a very fun, quick and easy card to make and I'm pleased with my changes and they way it turned out.

Thank you for taking your time to stop in and see today's masculine card,
Wanda
