Butterfly Gala, Beauty Abounds, Dandelion Wishes, Get Well Card

I really LOVE butterflies.  The "Beauty Abounds" and "Butterfly Gala" sets have some fun butterflies to play with. I liked making this card because it was pretty quick and simple.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock.  On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Highland Heather.  And the focal piece was cut 3-3/4" x 5".

I stamped the butterfly from the "Butterfly Gala" set using black Memento ink. I set them aside for a few minutes to dry.  In the meantime I stamped the words from the "Dandelion Wishes" set using black Memento ink.  I set it aside to dry.  Then I punched out the two butterflies.  I colored them using the Highland Heather Blends pens.  I just colored the whole butterfly with the light pen and then came back with the darker pen in the middle and on the edges.  I added Dimensionals to the back and set them aside.

I stamped the Highland Heather bubbles from the "Beauty ABounds" set.  Then I stamped some Lemon Lime Twist bubbles using the smaller bubble image.

I took some gold thread and wrapped it around the 3-3/4" part of the card stock. I used a glue dot to hold the raw ends. Then I found center or close to it and pressed that into the glue dot to hold it.  Sometimes I twist them to give them a figure 8 look, it just depends on if the thread will cooperate.  I set the thread in place on the card front towards the bottom right.

I took the "Starburst" punch and punched out the Highland Heather piece from the same 4" x 5-1/4" piece that I am going to use for the layer.  No one will ever know it's missing.  I taped the Starburst piece to the word piece and added Dimensionals to the back.

I taped the Highland Heather layer to the card base.  Then I taped the focal piece to the card base.  I added the word piece and then the butterflies.  See, I told you it was quick and simple!  Oh and pretty too!!
Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
