Abstract Impressions, Itty Bitty Greetings, Mother's Day Card

Today I am sitting at a tv tray with my computer screen, keyboard and mouse (without the pad) because my large worktable is out in the garage being used for the HUGE garage sale that will open on Thursday. Our neighborhood has a sale every year for the last 35 years.  It's crazy here but you sure can get rid of a lot of your stuff!  I feel like I'm sitting at a desk in an elementary school classroom! LOL  It's only for 6 more days and I'm sure I will survive it!  You'll hear about it if I don't!!! Feeling sorry for you already! LOL

Okay, onto today's card.  The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock.  This card was cut in half on the 8-1/2" side. The fold is at the top and the opening is at the bottom.  You can use whatever  orientation you'd like your card to be. It won't effect the look of the card.

I die cut the flower layer using the "Springtime Impressions" thinlits.  I used Melon Mambo card stock. I glued the piece in place.

Next I took a piece of Whisper White card stock and die cut a stitched square that measured about 2-1/8" x 2-1/8".  I stamped the stems first using Granny Apple Green and Pear Pizzazz inks.  I used the Pear Pizzazz ink on the wider stems and the Granny Apple Green on the thinner stems.

I stamped the flowers wrong.  Yes, you can do this wrong but it still looks okay. I may just add a little bit of Daffodil Delight marker to the centers of each of my flowers to offset the error.  I had used Melon Mambo first instead of Flirty Flamingo ink to make the flowers.  Had I used the Flirty Flamingo first the highlights on the flowers would have shown up  nicer. I tried to go over the flowers with the Flirty Flamingo color but it didn't do much at all.  So I am going with the Daffodil Delight to make it look a bit better.  I didn't want to redo the image because of my limited work space.

After the flower fiasco, I die cut a Granny Apple Green scalloped square. I taped the square pieces together.

Next I stamped the words from the "Itty Bitty Greetings" set using black Memento ink.  And to finish up the card I used Dimensionals to attach the square layers to the front of the card.  And the card was complete (well, not mine.  Mine needs the Daffodil Delight color in the center of each flower and then it will be complete!!!).

Thank you SO much for stopping by today,
Wanda
