Colorful Season, Seasonal Layers, Happy Birthday Gorgeous, Masculine Birthday Card, Marbling Technique

Well, if this wasn't a fun and simple looking card.  It actually wasn't that bad to make either.  It's done kind of like you would with polished stone, except you use water on the cotton ball with the ink refills. I used the heat tool to dry the card stock faster.  Yes, card stock, not glossy paper, just regular Whisper White card stock.

After the paper was dry I stamped the skeleton leaf image from the "Colorful Season" set, using Cajun Craze ink.  Then I die cut it out using "Seasonal Layers" Thinlits die.

I set the leaf in place but didn't affix it. I wanted to see where it should go so I could stamp the words.  I stamped the words using Cajun Craze ink and they were from the "Happy Birthday Gorgeous" set.  I used Dimensionals behind the leaf and set it in place above the words.  And that was it.

The colors I used on the leaf were Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry, Chocolate Chip and Tangerine Tango.  My cotton ball was pretty wet (with water). I did use a rubber glove.  If you don't have any, grab a sandwich bag or some other type of plastic bag and use it to pick up the cotton ball.

This was very fun to make.  I wish I would have colored a larger piece of card stock.  My piece was only 2-1/8" x 2-3/4".  I was going to use that as a background layer.  Don't add any green to your inks. I thought it would look great, boy was I wrong. I tossed it and started over.  More yellows could be added, but stay away from the greens.  Have fun with this.

Thank you SO very much for visiting today,
Wanda
