Northern Flurrys Snowflakes Card

I really do like this "Northern Flurrys" die. I LOVE snowflakes and what an easy way to crank out a bunch of them at one time! I don't think my hand would get tired making these as opposed to punching them out with a handheld punch. These are just SO pretty too!

For my card I used a half sheet of Whisper White card stock. Then I layered a piece of Cherry Cobbler on top. The final large layer is another piece of Whisper White card stock. I cut out my snowflakes and then sprayed them with the Smooch spray. I set them aside to dry. They have a very pretty shimmer to them. Click on the photo for a closer view of the shimmer!

I stamped the "dec. 25" image using Cherry Cobbler ink and Whisper White card stock. I then punched it out with the new larger label punch. I also punched out 3 basic black pieces to use as a layer behind it. I added Dimensionals to the back of ti and set it aside.

Next I cut a piece of the new "Deck the Halls" decorative paper. I layered it on top of a strip of Basic Black card stock. I taped it in place on the top Whisper White layer. I added a piece of black satin ribbon to the top and taped it on the back of the white piece. I then taped the white piece to the Cherry Cobbler piece and that I taped on top of the card base.
I added the label piece and then the snowflakes. In the center of each snowflake I placed a half pearl. It was just what the snowflake needed. I was going to add rhinestones but I wanted to keep the card looking soft. Plus the pearls enhance the pearl look the snowflakes have from being Smooched!

It was a very fun and easy card to make!

Stay tuned tomorrow. I have a fun weekend project for you!

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
