My Sister's Anniversary Card

Next week is my sister's wedding anniversary and I thought I should make her a card. I had a card in mind but it didn't quite turn out the way I wanted it to. The rings look a bit silly to me. In my mind it had a very elegant look.

She likes the Brilliant Blue so I went with that card stock. The words were done on the computer. I didn't have a "Happy Anniversary" stamp that would fit in the oval. I printed out a full page of them so I can use them on future cards.

I'll put a nice gift certificate inside and it will distract from the outside of the card!!!! LOL

I used a Cuttlebug folder for the dry embossing on the white. I like the looks of this one for wedding and anniversary cards.

The more I looked at this card as I was typing up this post I decided to redo it. I just did NOT like those rings.

SO I went with Bravo Burgundy because I had wide ribbon to match. The only Brilliant Blue ribbon I had was the 1/4" stuff and that was just TOO thin.

Now you tell me, don't you like it much better without the rings??? That big bow seemed to be a bit more elegant looking than two gold tone rings.

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda

I actually like both cards but the one with the gold rings just seems to be more elegant.

I like both. Using the rings is a new and interesting idea. I do like the ribbon and bow the best though.

I like both cards, Wanda, but I like the red card a wee bit more - maybe because red is my favorite color and it stands out a little more.

I like the idea of the rings on a card BUT, I like the red card better. You will come up with an idea for the rings! TFS!

I like both cards. I'm curious as to which folder you used?
