Days to Remember, Delightful Doily, Around the Bend, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello! I'm SO happy to share this fun card with you today. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. This card opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and textured it using the "Delightful Doily" embossing folder. I cut the piece in half and I set the other half aside for a future card. It's always fun when you run across stuff already done and a card gets put together in no time at all. Or it gets misplaced and you never use it! That's me!! LOL

Next I took a piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Les Shoppes" package. I cut it at 2" x 5-1/4".  I taped the embossed piece and this piece to a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock. I cut a 1.4" x 5-1/4" strip of Basic White and glued it over the area where the DSP and textured card stock meet.  Dimensionals were added to the back and the piece was set in place on the front of the card base.

Next I die cut the flowers and leaves from the "Around the Bend" bundle. I used Misty Moonlight and Boho Blue card stock. The flower centers were die cut using Lemon Lolly card stock.  I also added some small pieces of the Lemon Lolly behind the Boho Blue flowers.

The leaves were die cut using Old Olive card stock.

I glued the flower centers to the two flowers and then I took my Pecan Pie marker and added dots to the center of the two flowers. I glued the left flower in place and then set the right on in place using a Dimensional. I added a little glue to the ends of the leaves and tucked them in place. Dimensionals were added to the back of the little Boho Blue flowers and they were set in place on the front of the card.

The words are from the "Days to Remember" set and were stamped using black Memento ink and then punched out using the Double Oval punch. The layer behind the words is punched using the same punch and Misty Moonlight card stock. The words were taped to the layer and the piece was set in place using Dimensionals.

This was a fun card to make and it can be used for a number of  other occasions.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,
Wanda

You combined several elements to make a great card. Love the colors in the cluster of flowers. Nicely done!
