Around the Bend, Layering Leaves, Wedding Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello!  As you can see I have not put away my "Around the Bend" set yet!  Like I put anything away right away.  LOL  I did have another card in my head and I needed to get it down on paper ASAP! And here's what I came up with. Please read on to see how the card was made.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. This card opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top. I cut two 5-1/2" x 4-1/4" pieces of Basic White card stock for the top of the card.  Actually you need three pieces.  On the bottom piece I stamped the words from the "Layering Leaves" set using Smoky Slate ink.

Next I took another piece of card stock and cut the scalloped edged piece. I set it down far on the piece of card stock so there was lots of room at the top. Most of that will be cut away. I lined the die so what was hanging over was the same on each end.

Then I took the other piece of card stock and before I cut the dotted curved piece I put the two pieces of card stock together with the scalloped one on the back and I held it up to the light to line it up so that the curve looked even across the card. I taped the die down and die cut the piece.

I glued the dotted curved piece to the scalloped curved piece. Then I set it on top of the piece I stamped the words on so the scalloped edge was just a bit above the words. I cut the top part off so the piece measured 4" and I cut the sides so the piece measured 5-1/4".  I set the piece in place on the front of the card using Dimensionals.

The flowers are from the same "Around the Bend" set and were die cut using Basic White card stock. Lots of scraps can be used up making these flowers and leaves. Once I had a bunch of them cut I began placing them on the front of the card until I thought it looked nice.

I glued some of the smaller flowers to the center of the larger flowers.  Then I taped two of the flowers in place and the third flower was set in place using a Dimensional. Glue was added to the bottom part of the leaves and they were slipped under the larger flowers.

I thought the flowers needed something so I had some "Polished Dots" (retired) and added them to the center of each of the large flowers. I think the pearls would be pretty on there too.  I'm just trying to use up some of the stuff I have here.  Once the dots were added the card was done.

I love white on white cards and I think this turned out pretty much like what was in my head!! Yay!!!

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's wedding card,
Wanda
