So Many Snowflakes, Snowflake Wishes, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

I had this set from last year that carried over into this years annual catalog.  I was glad it was still current because I do like to post current items on my blog.  I had not used this set much at all and when I ran across a card on Pinterest I thought I'd give it a try. I was really liking the looks of the center of that snowflake, it drew me in and I just had to make it.  You can see the original card here

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Highland Heather card stock. The card stock was cut in half on the short side so it measured 4-1/4" x 11" after cutting it in half.  I scored it at 5-1/2" and folded it along the score line. So this card opens at the bottom and the fold is at the top.

I cut two 4" x 5-1/4" pieces of Basic White card stock. One for the inside and one for the outside. I taped the inside one in place and then began to work on the front of the card.

I lined up the snowflake die on the Basic White piece and then I ran it through my Big Shot.

The words from the "Snowflake Wishes" set were stamped using Highland Heather ink.

I took a 3" x 3" piece of Basic White card stock, took my Blending brush and scrubbed on some Balmy Blue ink and then some Highland Heather ink. I added some Tombow mono glue to the back of the snowflake, only around the snowflake area and affixed the blended piece of card stock to it. Then I added glue to the entire back and affixed it to the front of the card base. I was planning on using tape but I had overshot my glue and it went well beyond the 3" x 3" piece so, instead of possibly making a mess, I just decided to go with the glue.

I colored a rhinestone using my dark Balmy Blue Blends pen and I set it in the middle of the snowflake and the card was done.

This was a very quick and easy card to make. I love using those blending brushes, they blend so softly and the end result is SO pretty.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop by and see today's Christmas card,

The single snowflake cut out in the center of this white panel looks AMAZING. Nicely done my friend.
