Forever Fern, Painted Poppies, Peaceful Moments, Fall Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

I'm still on my quest to make the stamp sets I bought in the spring into fall cards.  Here's what I came up with using the "Forever Fern" set.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White for the front panel.

I stamped some of the leaf images right onto the panel piece. Then I stamped some onto a separate piece of card stock. I used Old Olive and Mossy Meadow for my greens. Then I stamped some of the rounded leaves stamp using Cajun Craze ink. I die cut these out with the matching dies.  I had set them on the front of my card and placed them where I thought they would look the best.

The circle piece is from the "Painted Poppies" dies. I die cut it using Soft Suede card stock.

I stamped the words using Soft Suede ink on a scrap piece of Basic White. I die cut them using the 1-7/8" circle die. I taped the words to the center of the Soft Suede piece.  Then I set it on top of the fern pieces and rearranged them to my liking.  I carefully removed the circle piece and took a think slice of scotch tape and taped the pieces together. I carefully picked them up and turned them over to add more tape. Then I added Dimensionals to the back. I made sure they covered over where the leaves met each other. That helped hold them together more and gave the piece more stability.

Before I set the leaf cluster in place, I took the dotted image from the "Forever Fern" set and using Soft Suede in, I stamped off once and then onto my piece. I stamped all around the leaves on the panel piece.

Then I set the leaves in place.  The circle was added by putting snail tape on the upper part of the solid circle and Dimensionals on the bottom part.

I didn't like how the word piece looked so white and open so I colored some rhinestones using the dark Cajun Craze Blends pen and set them on the circle.  I thought the rest of the card could use some to tie it all together so I colored three more and set them on the panel piece.

The panel piece was set in place using Dimensionals and the card was done.

This was a very fun card to make and I was glad I was able to turn the spring fern set into a fall set. I love to have versatile stamp sets.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop by today,
Wanda
