Snowman Season, Penguin Playmates, Christmas Card, 2021 Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog

Today's card is a super simple one that allows you to have some fun with scraps of Designer Series Paper (DSP).

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

The DSP is from the "Penguin Playmates" 12" x 12" package and measures 1-1/4" x 5-1/4".

The Soft Sea Foam card stock was textured using the snowflake folder from the "Wintry" embossing folder package. The piece was cut 4" x 5-1/4".  The DSP strip was glued on top of it. I was planning on gluing it to the left side but I had the card upside down and quickly removed the strip and turned it around. I was able to save the strip but still had to keep it on the right side because of the sticky glue all over the card stock.  Right or left it will still look great.

Then I cut a piece of Basic White card stock to measure 3" x 4".  The Soft Sea Foam on top if it measures 2-3/4" x 3-3/4". And the DSP measures 2-1/2" x 3-1/2".  I glued all three of those pieces together. Dimensionals were added to the back of the piece and it was set on top of the front of the card.

The words are from the "Snowman Season" set and were stamped using Just Jade ink and then die cut using the 1-5/8" circle die. The layer was die cut using the 1-7/8" circle die on Just Jade card stock. I probably should have used Soft Sea Foam because that center piece just jumps out at you! Well, the Dimensionals behind it contribute to that too!  LOL  I added a bow and the card was done.

This is a very fun card to make. I do like the layout and I can accept the Just Jade circle!

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop by and see this quick and easy Christmas card,
Wanda
