Frightfully Cute, Cutest Halloween, Kid Friendly Halloween Card, 2021 Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog

I had run across a card on Pinterest and I thought I would give it a try but I made a number of changes. I liked the characters and the Designer Series Paper (DSP). The ribbon also caught my eye.  And this is what I came up with. You can see the original card here

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens at the bottom and the fold is at the top.

I cut a 4-1/8" x 5-3/8" piece of Highland Heather card stock for the layer.  And the DSP was cut at 3-7/8" x 5-1/8". I taped the DSP to the Highland Heather piece and then I taped that to the front of the card.

I cut a 2-1/8" x 2-1/8" piece of Highland Heather and I added some Highland Heather colored spiders from the "Cutest Halloween" set. I should have added more because you can't really see them much. I also cut a 2-3/8" x 2-3/8" Basic Black for the layer. I taped the two squares together.

Then I cut a 3/4" x 4-7/8" piece of Basic Black card stock and I snipped one end to give it that ribbon look.

I took a 9" piece of gingham ribbon and folded it in the middle and taped it to the left side of the Basic Black strip. I trimmed the ends. Then the piece was taped to the front of the card 1-1/4" up from the bottom.  I used the stripes on the DSP to keep the strip straight.

The square piece was set in place using Dimenisonals.

The words are from the "Frightfully Cute" Halloween set and were stamped using Granny Apple Green ink. I die cut them with the die I didn't think I owned and wanted to use on the card I made the other day.  I just don't know what I have anymore!!! LOL The dies are from the "Frightful Tags" dies. I added Dimensionals to the right side and I taped the left side to the square piece.

I punched out three characters from the "Cute Halloween" DSP stack. I taped the pumpkin and the ghost in place and the cat was set in place using Dimensionals.  I didn't have the star embellishments (I do know I do not have them! LOL) but the "Frightful Tags" dies had a little star cluster die so I cut them out using Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black and Crushed Curry card stock. I glued the little stars in place and the card was done.

This was a very fun card to make and I like how colorful and festive it turned out!

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop by and see today's festive Halloween card,
Wanda
