Forever Fern, Here's a Card, Thank You Card, 2020 Stampin' Up! Catalog

I opened up Pinterest and this card was the first one I saw and I thought I would save it to make another day.  But then I thought, why wait?  I would just forget about it anyway unless it would keep popping up in Pinterest. I save cards and other things but I rarely go back and look at my folders! I guess I'm a here and now type person.  I found this card here and I did change it a little. Clicking on the photo only led me to the card with a black background.  So here is how I made this card.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I textured a 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" piece of Basic White using the "Painted Texture" embossing folder.  Once it was textured I cut it down to 4" x 5-1/4".  Some textures tend to make the piece a bit smaller so I like to texture first and then cut to the size I need.  I taped this piece to the front of the card.

Next I took a 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" piece of Basic White card stock and stamped the image from the "Forever Fern" set was stamped using Old Olive ink and then the images were die cut using the 4th die in the set of 8 dies from the "Rectangle Stitched" dies set.

Another one of the same image was stamped on Basic White card stock using Shaded Spruce ink,  It was die cut using the matching die.

I tied a double linen bow and set it aside. I had to set it aside because I needed to moisten it to get the curls out of it.  I probably should have done that first but by the time the card was assembled, it was dry enough.

The words are from the "Here's a Card" set and were stamped using Shaded Spruce ink. Then die cut using the smallest "Stitched Circle" die.

The Shaded Spruce piece of card stock was punched using the "Label Me Fancy" punch. Most of it is taped behind the rectangle piece. I could have used just a rectangle piece but  I thought some edging showing would be fun.

I taped the Shaded Spruce punched piece to the back of the stitched rectangle piece and then added Dimensionals to the stitched rectangle piece. I set it in place on top of the textured piece.

The Shaded Spruce die cut image was set in place on top of the Old Olive images using Dimensionals.

The bow was set in place on the stem using a couple of small glue dots.

The words were set in place using both tape and Dimensionals. The Dimensionals were added on the right side and bottom and the tape was added to the upper left area.  And that was it.

This was a very easy and quick card to make. I think it took me longer to get all the stuff out to make it than it did to actually sit down and do it. I really love using this set and hope to get some more use out of it before I find some other set that I glom onto and say it's my favorite.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop by and see what I found today,
Wanda
