Christmas Cards, October 2020 Paper Pumpkin Alternative Card

With lots of pieces still in my October 2020 Paper Pumpkin kit, I thought I'd look for a card that uses some of the smaller pieces. I found this card on Pinterest and there's a video.  There is just a glimpse of the card at about 11:04 on the run time.  I changed the square so don't look for this exact color. The square in the video was Just Jade. I didn't use Just Jade because I wanted the wreath to stand out more.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Crumb Cake card stock. On top of that is 2" x 4" piece of the inside of the envelope from the kit. The Whisper White piece next to it was cut 3-1/4" x 4". Those two pieces were taped to the card base. And a 1/2" x 4" piece of Cherry Cobbler card stock was taped over the seam where the two colors met.

I cut a piece from the front of one of the card bases in the kit to measure 3" x 3".  That would probably be the same size as the Just Jade piece on the original card.  I taped that to the card front.

I stamped a wreath over the lightly colored wreath image in the wreath circle using Just Jade ink. I did not stamp any additional berries.  But I did add some rhinestones that I had colored red using the Cherry Cobbler Blends pen. I didn't set them on the wreath until I was done with the word piece.

The word piece is a 3-3/4" x 3/4" piece of Soft Sea Foam card stock. I stamped the words from the kit on it using Just Jade ink.  I snipped the ends and set the piece in place on top of the wreath using glue dots.

I took two strands of the Cherry Cobbler twine from the kit and tied a bow. I glued that in place. I found that tape or glue dots don't seem to hold up well with fabrics.

I added Dimensionals to the back of the wreath and set it in place on top of the card.

The rhinestones were added and a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock was added to the inside and the card was done.

This was a fun card to make and I got to use up some smaller pieces of the envelope and card front from the kit.

I have really enjoyed playing with this kit.  I have a few more cards I saw that I'd like to make but not tomorrow. I have something else I need to make.

Thank you ever SO much for taking the time to stop by today and have a look,
Wanda
