Friendship Card, August 2020 Paper Pumpkin Kit Alternative Card, Stampin' Up!

I spent the last couple of days working on cards using the August 2020 Paper Pumpkin kit. I am down to a half a card with a daisy punched out in it. I don't think I have another card in me, plus what's left doesn't make me fell bad about putting it in the scrap bin. I made a lot of cards from this set. Only one of them was like described in the set. The rest were just other alternative cards made using the supplies in the set. I'm happy with what I got! I have not use up a kit in a long time. This was a great feeling and the September 2020 kit will be delivered tomorrow!  Just in time!  I hope I can do the same with that kit too. Them maybe I can take a kit down from my shelf and finish it up too. It would be nice to get them all finished and out of my workroom! It's trying to find spare time that is the problem.

Okay, let's talk about today's card. I found it on the internet. You can see the original card here

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock. On top of that I adhered the foam frame that came in the kit.  I removed the backing on the frame and I set the green plaid frame in place on top of it. You may want to stand up so you can hover over it to make sure you get it straight.

The vase is one of the trophy die cut images from the kit. It was cut and slipped under the foam frame just a little it.  I did add a little tape to the rest of the piece before I slipped it under the frame.

I colored the vellum leaves from the kit using my dark Soft Sea Foam Blends pen.  I colored both sides so I had the darkest color I could get. I taped them to the card where the tape wouldn't be noticed.  And I slipped them under the vase piece a little too.

Then I took the blue plaid card and die cut four daisies from the "Medium Daisy" punch.  Then I took one of the yellow pieces from the kit and cut two daisies from it. I glued the daisies together at the center.  For the center I punched a 3/8" circle from the blue plaid piece and two from the yellow piece. I glued those pieces in place.

I set the blue flowers in place using a Dimensional on the back of each and I taped the yellow flower behind them.

The words are from the kit and I stamped them using Pacific Point ink. I had used one of the rectangles in the kit for the words. I set them in place using small Dimensionals.

I love the look of this card. I like how colorful it is and how pretty the flowers are on it. All the colors just go so well together.

This was a fun card to make and I'm glad I ran across it on Pinterest.

Thank you SO much for taking the time to stop by today,
Wanda
