Band Together, Detailed Bands, Birthday Card, 2020-2021 Stampin' Up! Catalog

I was surfing the net today to find a fun card sample using the "Band Together" set.  I was looking at my set and wondering why I had bought it. It may have been the words in the set or was it the flower?  I had a rubber band around the set and it was holding die cuts with it.  There it was I SO loved those die cuts!  There was my answer.  So now that I knew why I wanted the set, I wondered why I wasn't using it very much.  Other than the fact that I owned too many sets!  So today I found this fun card on the internet and I thought I would make it.  This set is not retied but I do believe the beautiful embossing folder is.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Flirty Flamingo.  This card is folded at the top and opens at the bottom.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic Black card stock for the layer.  I cut out the black die cut piece by putting it on the Basic Black piece at an angle, the piece is from the "Detailed Bands" die set.

I textured a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Whisper White card stock using the "Tufted" embossing folder. I taped it to the Basic Black piece.

I stamped two flowers from the "Band Together" set. I didn't stamp the whole stem, I didn't need any of the stem for this card.  I used the matching die from the "Detailed Bands" dies to cut the flowers out.  I colored them with my Blends pens. I used both light and dark Daffodil Delight for the center of the flowers and both light and dark for the flower petals.

I stamped 4 sets of leaves from the "Band Together" set and I had to fussy cut them out. I know, it was awful but I managed to survive it!  LOL  I colored them using both light and dark Granny Apple Green Blends pens.

The words are from the "Band Together" set and I used black Memento ink on Whisper White card stock.  I die cut using the oval die in the "Detailed Bands" die set.  I taped the words to the Basic Black die cut piece.  Then I taped that piece to the textured piece.  I centered it as best as I could.

Then I added Dimensionals to the flowers and I set them in place on the front of the card.

I glued the ends of the leaves in place and the card was done.

I think it's just SO pretty.  I was going to make it an anniversary card but when I got going on it I totally forgot.  So I will probably be making an anniversary card later in the week. I don't need it for a few more days.

This was a very fun card to make, even with having to do some fussy cutting.

Thank you SO much for taking the time to stop by today,
Wanda
