Beautiful Friendship, Magnolia Memories Dies, Birthday Card

I'm still trying to come up with cards to make from now until I can order and get my new order.  That will feel like an eternity!!! LOL  It's sad because I have stamp sets that I have hardly used.  I guess it's time to take a hard look at them and surf the net for some inspiration or something to copy!!  Like today's card.

Today I used the "Magnolia Memories" dies to make the flower.  I die cut them from Whisper White card stock and sponged on some Daffodil Delight ink on the center of the two smaller pieces.  I glued all four pieces together and set it aside to allow the glue to set up.

I die cut the flower center  using some gold glitter card stock. I cut two of those and glued them together. I set them aside to dry too.

I cut a half-sheet of Daffodil Delight for the card base. I folded it in half.  this card opens at the bottom.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White and I speckled it with the Smoky Slate marker. I flicked the pen tip on the inside edge of the cover.  It's a fun technique, I just wonder if it will ruin the tip of the marker.  It seems fine so far.

I used the "Rectangle Stitched" dies and die cut out the one that measures about 3-1/4" x 1-7/8".  I stamped the words from the "Beautiful Friendship" set using Mossy Meadow ink. I speckled this piece too.

I took a piece of Daffodil Delight ribbon and wrapped it around the front of the Whisper White speckled piece and I taped the ends on the back with scotch tape.  I set that piece in place on the card base using Dimenisonals.

Then I taped the stitched rectangle piece in place using Dimensionals.

I added some ribbon loops where the flower will be placed. I also added two strips of ribbon at the bottom part and I trimmed them at an angle.

I glued the flower in place.  I added a large rhinestone to the center of the flower and a bunch of small ones scattered around the Whisper White piece.

I added a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock to the inside and the card was done.  Now that I look at it, I think it could use some greenery. A few Mossy Meadow leaves would be a nice touch.

I thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda

This is a very pretty card, Wanda. I'm looking for easy, but elegant ideas for a group of women. I've gotten a lot of inspiration from your card from yesterday and today. Thanks so much. Ordering day will be here very soon. Enjoy your day!

You made the card your own with the changes you made. Very nicely done!
