Happy Birthday Gorgeous, Beautiful Bouquet, Love What You Do, Birthday Card, Fold Technique

Today I found a very fun fold card technique.  You can see the original card and the instructions for it here, just in case I miss something while I try to explain it to you.

You begin with a 5-1/2" x 4-1/4" piece of card stock for the base.  One video I saw said to cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock for the back of the card where you can write on. I don't like that idea, there is plenty of room to write on the inside.

On top of the card base I added a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Pear Pizzazz card stock. Oh, the base of my card is Soft Sea Foam.
And on top of that is a 3-1/4" x 4-1/2" piece of Soft Sea Foam.  You can wait to add that piece if you want. I waited until I was done with the Whisper White folded piece. It was just easier for me to line it up.  But either way works.

Next I cut the Whisper White piece 4-1/4" x 11".  You will be able to make two cards from one sheet of Whisper White card stock. Once it's cut you will need to score it on the long side at 1-1/2", 3", 5-1/2" and 8". Then you will fold them beginning with the 1-1/2" score, mountain then valley, then mountain and the last fold is valley.

Now you will want to stamp your images or words before adding the decorative papers.

The decorative papers are from the "Subtles" 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper (DSP) pack. There's 40 sheets of fun in those packs.  I used three different designs of the DSP.  The large dotted DSP on the front was cut 4" x 1-1/4".  The stripped DSP was cut 4" x 2-1/4" and the larger piece with tiny dots all over is measured 4" x 2-3/4".

The words on the front of my card are from the "Happy Birthday Gorgeous" set. The words "forever young" on the inside are from the same set.  The flowers on the inside panel are from the "Love What You Do'' set. And the flowers on the front were stamped and die cut from the "Beautiful Bouquet" set.

I colored the flowers using the Merry Merlot marker. I stamped the flowers on the front using the Merry Merlot ink pad.  I die cut them and set them on the front using tiny Dimensionals. I added a pearl to the center of each flower.

The Happy Birthday" from the "Happy Birthday Gorgeous" set was stamped using black Memento ink. I die cut it with the 1-7/8" x 1-7/8" square die. And the layer was cut with the scalloped square die and Pear Pizzazz card stock.  Once this Whisper White piece is all folded, stamped and decorated then it was taped to the Soft Sea Foam piece of card stock.  The words on the front were added last.

I hope I explained this well enough for you. You can always refer to the video for more help.

Thank you SO much for stopping by today,
Wanda
