Healing Hugs, Special Celebration, Congratulations Card

Here's a quick and fun card to play with!  I think the "Healing Hugs" set is a lot like the "Heartfelt Blooms" Sale-a-Bration set that was available earlier this year. You just ink it up and the image is designed to give you all of that beautiful depth!

So, for the base of my card I used a folded half-sheet of Rich Razzleberry card stock.  This card opens at the bottom.  On top of that I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Rich Razzleberry and used the new "Tuffted" embossing folder.  I did mist my card stock before I embossed it. I wasn't sure how it was going to turn out and I wanted to make sure it didn't ruin my card stock.  I set it aside to dry.

I stamped the flower from the "Healing Hugs" on Whisper White card stock. I die cut it with a stitched circle.  Then I die cut a scalloped circle using Daffodil Delight card stock.  I stamped the leaves using Old Olive ink and fussy cut them out.  It wasn't bad, they are together so you just cut around the outer edge, it was pretty quick and simple.

The words are from the "Special Celebrations" set and I stamped them using black Memento ink.  The piece I stamped them on 2-3/4" x 3/4" piece of Whisper White card stock.

To assemble my card I added Dimensionals to the embossed piece and set them in place on the card base.  I taped the circle layers together and added that to the card front using Dimensionals.  The words were also added with Dimensionals.  I slipped the leaves in between the two circles and that was it.

I thought it was a pretty quick card to make.  I just had to play with that "Tuffted" folder. It reminds me of a satin pillow (but not in Rich Razzleberry!!! LOL).

Thank you SO much for visiting today,

Very elegant card. I like the “tufted” embossing, which adds so much richness to the design. I just have one question: Why do you mist your paper before embossing?
