A Papillon Potpourri Birthday

I found a fun layout and sweet card made by Gillian at "Made with Sparkle".  I didn't have the stamp sets she used and I don't think they were made by Stampin' Up!, but I used the things I had and made the card work.  I did change the bottom a little.  I added the Modern Label piece to the bottom.  I didn't want to stamp directly on the Whisper White card stock.  I often don't have good luck with that.  I don't get it straight and when I do get it straight it smears or I catch an edge of the rubber.  So I opted to use the "Modern Label" punch and add my wording that way. Plus it gave the card a little more color.

The butterfly is from the "Papillon Potpourri" set and the words are from the "Teeny Tiny Wishes" set.

I used  Bermuda Bay ink and card stock on this card.  The decorative paper is from the "Lullaby" decorative paper pack.  And if you look closer you can see 3 rhinestones going down the center of the butterfly.

The butterfly, decorative paper circle, and the punched label are all set in place using Dimensionals.  Oh and the whole front panel was also set in place with Dimensionals.

This was a super easy and fun card to make.  I was actually trying to think of a way to make this into our Christmas card this year.  Something fun and maybe a snowflake where the butterfly is.  I need to make sure I don't make it too thick with all of those Dimensionals, and I need to make sure I don't use the rhinestones or I will have to pay extra for the postage.  I send out too many cards to have to pay extra for them!  If it were just a couple of cards I wouldn't mind adding the rhinestones.

Anyway, I did enjoy making this card.  I was thinking though that I should have leaned more towards the oranges for the butterfly to make it more of a fall looking card.  But this is what I used and I do like it!

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
