A Spring Sampler Birthday

I was having some fun with the Sunshine & Sprinkles decorative paper.  I knew I needed to make a birthday card but I wasn't sure where I was going with it at first.  There was a piece of the decorative paper already cut in the pack so I took that piece and taped it to the bottom of the card and I set it aside.  I wasn't sure what I wanted to do at the top but as I looked at it and at the stamp sets I had I thought it would be fun to add three flowers across the center.  The "Spring Sampler" set had a cute flower so I thought I would use that one.  Oh, that piece was cut at 5-1/8" by 3-7/8".  I wanted a nice wide border.

And once again I was looking at the card wondering if I should get out my Stamp-a-ma-jig so I can get my flowers straight or find something else to stamp. It's a handy tool but I hate getting it out and using it.  But once it's out I do have fun with it.  I have no idea what the issue with that is but all I know is that I try to avoid getting it out!  So to work around my little problem I decided to stamp the flowers on card stock and then cut them out individually.  After all there are only three of them, right?  LOL  So after I got them cut out I set them on the card nice and straight and I didn't like it.  So when I set them in place on the card I made sure the orientation of each of them was different and I liked it much better.  So much for lining them up the way I was thinking about doing in the first place!!!  Sheeeeesh!!! LOL

The "happy birthday" came from the "Teeny Tiny Wishes" set.  It's one of my favorite sets to use.  Can you tell?  You can probably look back to this weeks posts and most of the cards have that set used on it!!! LOL

I added some Lucky Limeade ribbon to the front and tied a bow on.  The ribbon is cut and taped on the back and then a piece of ribbon was slipped under the front piece and tied in a single knot.

The flowers (yup, back to the flowers) were set in place using Dimensionals.  And the panel they are on was set on the base of the card with Dimensionals as well.  And that is it.  Very simple, very quick and cute too!

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
