The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Very Vanilla card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.
I cut a 5-1/2" x 4-1/4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Frightfully Fun" 12" x 12" package. I taped it to the front of the card base. Then I trimmed a piece of DSP from the "Spooktacular" 6" x 6" stack to measure 4" x 5-1/4".
Using the 3rd largest die in the "Everyday Arches" set I centered it and then I centered the 5th largest die and cut them both out at the same time. My vision was to use the outside piece and the inside piece only but too much of the face was missing so I had to figure out how to make this work.
I added the largest piece to the front using Dimensionals. Then I added the second piece that I had originally planned to omit. I doubled up on the Dimensionals. I just stacked them and set that in place on the front of the card.
The center piece was just taped in place and is flat, no Dimensionals.
The words are from the "Oh My Fright" bundle and were stamped using Basic Black ink on Very Vanilla card stock. I cut it using the smallest die from the "Nested Essentials" die set. Using my dark Basic Black Blends pen, I ran the belly of the pen around the edge of the piece. I added tape behind the "Halloween" word and Dimensionals to the upper part, double stacked to match that top arched piece.
I took the bat dies from the "Oh My Fright" bundle and cut them out from some scrap Basic Black card stock. I taped them in place on the front of the card. I took my light Cherry Cobbler Blends pen and colored in the eyes. And that was it, the card was done.
This is not what was in my head but it's what ended up on the drawing board and I'm okay with it. It was a challenge and I am happy that I was able to get it to work.
